Then again, I don't have much to say other than "I liked it". XD
Even when it got to the "dirty" parts, it stayed fairly IC. Though Asuka didn't exactly look like she got much out of it. :P

Yeah, I figured that the likelihood that Asuka was 'ready to go' was pretty small (this is more like a chore for her than recreation) and there's no way in heck that Shinji is the 'world's greatest lover' even if he hasn't just been woken up in the middle of the night. Translation- a pretty awkward love scene.

For all her life, she's been swimming upstream against one 'enemy' after another. Now, with the arrival of Shinji, (possibly her greatest 'enemy' yet) she feels she doesn't have the energy to tackle this, so she suddenly decides to swim WITH the stream. Attraction or love hasn't really entered into it yet, this is just something she feels she 'has to do'.

We'll see in the morning after that things aren't suddenly better for Asuka and Shinji, either. She wakes up in kind of a funk between relief and regret (He just thinks I'm a 'toy'. He's gonna brag to his friends and then forget about it. It didn't really mean anything). It's going to take another important dialogue scene to smooth things over.

Another good chap even if I am a lil bummed about the love scene between Asuka and Shinji, but I would say it’s more believable then what I would have hoped for. Looking forward to the next chapter, hopefully won’t be too long.

This week, I am doing (or REdoing) Chapter 1. That way everyone can follow along from the beginning like we're supposed to. It's not a long chapter and I hope to have it done in a couple of weeks. (knock on wood)

Immediately after that, I'm heading into chapter 4 production, and the resumption of the story. The main conflict of the story is still a couple of chapters away.

At long last, almost half a year after starting this project, HERE is Chapter 1 of EVA-303, my fan comic. Now, finally, anyone who wanted to read but was waiting for the beginning CAN read now. Now I no longer have to explain anything before letting someone new read the comic.

Chapter 1 may not be my best work, but there is still some genuine chemistry between the characters I think. Beginnings of stories are always awkward, but it is now at least compatible with the rest of my comic. And now without further ado, here is chapter 1;

Good news on that front. My mother-in-law is coming to town for a month from this week and she's obsessed with the girls (my wife and I had triplets last October), so my wife has suggested that I may have more free time than usual for the comic this month. Gonna try to get Chapter 4 cranked out as quickly as possible.

Long time, no update. Chapter 4 is taking longer than I thought, but we're up to 46 pages so far. 2 more scenes to go.

I FINALLY had to produce a backseat weapon's officer for Kaworu in Unit 03, and I decided to make it an original character. I've always wanted to do a classic black-haired emo kid, and here he is. Meet Saburo Hiryu. Saburo is named after Japanese WW2 ace Saburo Sakai and the Japanese WW2 carrier Hiryu.

Wohoo! My first Eva OC.

We come to find out in later chapters that Saburo and Kaworu had a romantic relationship long before the comic begins. When a tragic accident nearly kills Ayanami, Kaworu spends much of his time in the hospital overseeing her recovery. His time with Ayanami eventually puts too great a strain on their relationship and with bitterness, Saburo breaks his private relationship with Kaworu. Of course, they must continue to work together professionally, but it is a bittersweet friendship, with Saburo resenting Ayanami thereafter. That's long story short, anyway.

In the meantime, please look forward to Chapter 4.

Thanks! I really like this new guy. I think I'm going to write a special side chapter covering one long scene between Saburo and Kaworu. Quite some time before the comic began, he and Kaworu were lovers, but due to spoiler reasons, they broke up. I want to hold a one-scene chapter wherein a regretful (and probably emo) Saburo confronts Kaworu (it was Saburo who broke up with Kaworu) only to find that Kaworu has moved on already, no longer needing any romantic companionship. A very emo scene I suppose.

I must admit, the idea of Evas being fighters (specifically modified Grumman F-14D Super Tomcats) interests me greatly. However, I seem to have run into a bit of a snag that keeps me from reading the comic.
