[Film] The First Avenger: Captain America
They are making a Captain America movie that comes out next July, and John Krasinski might be Captain America in the movie. By the time this comes out, it been almost 21 years since the lame 90's movie cameout.

Yes, I heard about this possibility. While he may be able to have the face of Captain America (with the mask on, of course ), I'm not so sure how well he'll pull off the character. Though, I've only seen Krasinski in The Office, and maybe a Romantic Comedy or two. If he is able to pull this off it will add a great deal of versatility to his acting career.

I'm not Captain American fan, per se, but I've always thought that the costume is damn sexy, for whatever reason. And I've drifted in and out of The Fantastic Four when it was on TV, but I always thought that the guy playing the flame dude was really cute and had a nice body. I think this might be the first time I watch a non-pornographic movie for the pleasures of titillation.
"Now, from Nature we obtain abundant information about ourselves, and precious little about others. About the woman you clasp in your arms, can you say with certainty that she does not feign pleasure? About the woman you mistreat, are you quite sure that from abuse she does not derive some obscure and lascivious satisfaction? Let us confine ourselves to simple evidence: through thoughtfulness, gentleness, concern for the feelings of others we saddle our own pleasure with restrictions, and make this sacrifice to obtain a doubtful result." -The Divine Marquis

I wouldn't worry, I heard Fantastic Four is getting shelved/rebooted so I doubt we'll be seeing his Johnny Storm anytime soon.

That's nice to hear. Chris Evans has a real screen presence.
Though I have to admit I can't get excited for this film. What with it being shot in HD and released in 3-D. Also I find the first entry in Superhero franchises to always be highly forgettable. The good ones aren't bad but there are few that are great. That's because they're so strictly built around just setting up the universe for the surprisingly better sequel. And with this film basically existing so we have a Captain America to relate to in THE AVENGERS I'll just say, this should be a decent summer flick but not expecting more.

-the only English language novel actually being developed in parallel to its Japanese version involving a pan-human Soviet in a galactic struggle to survive and to export the communist utopia/revolution to all the down trodden alien class and race- one of the premise being that Khrushchev remains and has abandoned Lysenko stupidity

I'm looking forward to another decade of comic book hero movies that I won't bother to ever watch.
God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.

I like Chris Evans, I like Captain America and I like the Marvel Studios movies so far. What's going to make or break this film is the director. On one hand, interviews suggest that he gets the character and has an interesting direction in mind. On the other hand, he made The Wolfman and some other really mediocre stuff. I'm still feeling positive though.
I quite like that poster too, by the way. The dirt flying around in the background as if he was standing right in the battlefield is a nice touch.

Agh! That movie gave me chronic diarrhea
But this looks like it will be better
It won't happen but a rated R Captain America would be awesome. I feel like film makers are being limited by not being able to have deeper and sometimes darker plots (I'm not saying darker is better but it seems like it would be cool for Captain America) because they are trying to target a younger audience

Man, finishing The Wolfman was something dude should be commended for. The production was a perpetual fuck up, and director joined three weeks before principle photography started.
You got Agent Smith with a Cosmic Cube, and apparently the after credit role is gonna feature Thor and Nick Fury. What else you want?
The Weaver - Shinji and a Mad Spider God.
The Foregone Conclusion - Two years into a seemingly endless Angel War.
Wake Up, Ikari! - Wake. The Fuck. UP.
Branching Paths - Specifically 1B, 3B, 6A. Shinji goes crazy and kills a bunch of chinstrap geese.
Beneath, Shinji deals with a ten-year timeskip.
