I scheduled a panel for Anime Boston 2010. Are there any totally sane people that are going that have an extra space in their room, any totally sane people that have an extra space in their car, or any totally sane people that would like to get together and go?

I will in all likelihood get dragged there by a couple of my cosplayer friends, who probably don't fit your definition of sanity. I'll be the poor fellow who's got his arms linked mercilessly between two very convincingly dressed Reis, crying desperately for help.

I've never been a big con person, but I am usually suckered into attending them one way or another. I've been to Anime Boston twice now.

It's also only like thrity minutes away. Its the closest good con near Rhode Island, so if you need anybody there on opening day, I might very well be there.

I suppose the next question is, do I fit your definition of sanity?

Are you non-violent?

I'm tempted to volunteer for this just because monkey went out of his way to ask for sane people. Also I do have other reasons to go to boston. But so far from what I've seen on the website, this particular con just doesn't look too specuial to me. If I go out of my way to travel across half the country I would hope there'd be something special there like a showing of rebuild 2.0 or a really interesting guest like someone from gainax. So I probably wont be going to this one.

From what I've heard, Anime Boston is a so-so con compared to the real big ones. I admit to liking it two years ago, mostly because it was the first convention I ever attended, but I found it underwhelming last year.

I'm putting some thought into thought into canceling my plans to hit Anime Boston. I'm making plans to go to Tekkoshocon, which is much closer and much cheaper.

I heard really good things about Tekkoshocon.

Hey Monkey, are you going to submit a panel at Otakon this year?

I do every year.

I'm thinking about making it a fiasco this year.

Fiasco?

*Makes sure he fully understands the definition of fiasco*

Fiasco: means an absolute, abject or utterly humiliating failure.

ROFLMFAO! What makes you say that? and what do you usually call your panel? Was the panel on a Friday? I always arrive late on Friday's days because of work =*(

Yeah. I can't swing both Anime Boston and Tekkoshocon. I was also planning on going to PAX East. But the three cons are right after each other, and I think I can only make one. Not to mention Boston is kinda far away.

For a fiasco, invite Otaprince onto the panel and have him be responsible for a chunk of the programming, but also tell him to show up drunk.

Or alternatively, have me come back. I won't be drunk, but it will be humiliating all the same!

So then is anyone else going? Going to all the probably half assed Eva panels won't be as fun if I'm the only insane eva nerd there :D
