 Yeah /a/'s been going psycho over this.

Given how popular it was, a second season really shouldn't come as a surprise.

I have not seen K-On yet. I've always had an interest so I'll probably start watching it soon.

Sweet, this hopefully means characters from later manga stages.

I'm conflicted.
Kon is moeblob crap but it was a decent waste of time.

I hope they actually do stuff besides masturbate over cake and tea this time...oh wait, like that will ever happen.

Good. K-on! is fun, despite the recycled, nonsensical crap that moe-haters (i.e racists) constantly spew out.

Did everyone catch the new episode?

Sooooo Gooooood.

"A [manga] scene distinctly implying that two of the K-ON! girls actually has a boyfriend and may thus actually be mere soiled high-schoolers instead of the idealised moeblobs fans so adore has proven a major bombshell to their more devoted fans."

^to be more precise it is implied that Ritsu has boyfriend and Mio is butthurt/jealous about it

Delicious moefag tears are delicious :liplick:

(surprisingly Japanese otakus took it rather easily, cracking jokes about it mostly. So did /a/ initially albeit today there's been plenty off troll infested butthurt threads. Funny shit  )

I recently came across some footage of the K-On bunch performing in black and white face paint:

Direct link. Imageshack is giving me lip.

I’m ashamed to ask- but could somebody please tell me the specific episode/OVA/movie source of this sequence?

From what little I remember of the first season- it didn’t happen then.

Coincidentally I have been watching K-On lately, having just finished the second season I can tell you this scene is not present in any episode or OVA. I can only imagine it's in the movie which I haven't watched yet.

Edit: Nope, not in the movie either, my next bet would be a video game.

^^Thanks, Fish.

^I had that suspicion, and on further investigation- it would appear to be the case.

This editor somehow found the time and effort to actually shop every individual frame of this specific sequence, in order, and did a rather impressive job too.

Shame. I guess there are no official, angry, metal inspired performances by the child-women band after all.
...with the possible exception of season two's episode 10.

Actually there kinda is, about two minutes into the movie there's a rather funny scene where they "perform" a metal song, they even head bang. It's a short scene however and not a full length performance.

Video in question.

Not sure if that's the original source, but I imagine it's pretty close. K-On in corpsepaint, the song is Puritania by Dimmu Borgir.
