It looks like Asuka only in the way it would look like her if an artist was trying to draw her from memory after seeing just one episode with her in it. There are similarities, but even the similarities are different in ways that separate this figure from Asuka.

A lot of anime characters look alike. It kinda looks like Asuka. It was bound to happen, and it will happen again.

I can't believe people are actually denying that looks like Asuka. It looks just like her. Also, Asuka has been joyous before in Evangelion. Hell, some of you are forgetting that she had the same emotion like that near Kaji at times.

But it isn't a ripoff, probably just a coincidence.

Looks a bit like Asuka, only drawn in the style of Megazone 23/mid-late 80's.

kinda, im not suprised, people recycle each others designs all the time. if you want to see another example of that, watch burst angel, the three main characters look like Shinji, Asuka, and Rei.

I can see the similarities of the characters that look like Rei & Asuka, but I see no Shinji lookalike
