Let's talk about abridged series, such as Yu-Gi-Oh, DBZ, Naruto, etc.

My favorite is YGO, LK's jokes are really good. I don't watch any other abridged series though; I tried watching Naruto and DBZ once, but their jokes just didn't seem that good.

I don't keep up with a lot of abridged series like I used to.
I still watch LittleKuriboh's, hbi2k's, TFS', Megami33's stuff and like one or two others.

I used to watch Vegeta's and Masako's Naruto Abridged as well but I got bored with it.

I was thinking that, but parodies are more comedy than anime.

I'd say LK's YGO TAS is my favorite.

I watched episode 1 of Lanipator's YYH Abridged. I sort of thought it was funny.

Yu-Gi-Oh and DBZ series are the ones I enjoy the most. I think their was a Bleach one which was not too bad.

The Abridged Series was the only good thing Yu-Gi-Oh was good for. I sit there and cheer it. "Yeah! Drag that anime in the mud! Do it again!" Then I make my little sister watch them, since she was a Yu-Gi-Oh fan in the past. Those abridged things helped her get off of her Yu-Gi-Oh fan period. Now she's on the path to better anime. She is currently a fan of Full-Metal Alchemist and has enjoyed Neon Genesis Evangelion along with other GAINAX productions, as well as MAD House's Gunslinger Girl.

Yeah, those abridged series are a good tool for anime recovery. :ting:

What I find more interesting is the interaction withing the Abridged community. LK does some stuff for Team 4 Star, and they reference each other and so on. It's fun to follow and kinda amuses me.

I just watched episode 1-44 of YuGiOh Abridged. It makes more sense than the original YuGiOh. I honestly have never realized just how badly they bent the rules in the show compared to the actual TCG rules until they made fun of it.

Yes. Abridged Series point out the flaws in anime in a hilarious manner.

also, I got up to episode 4 of Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged. It's pretty funny. But not as funny as Yugioh abridged though.

I really don't get the fuss over T4S.
Sure, the Nappa segments are amusing, but have you heard how many times they make a character say: "O~~~~~~kay..."
The finale was particularly weak.
As an abridgment goes, the series is fine. As a parody? Disappointing.

Is there no love for SMA?
Now this is bad...but charming.
Can these girls and guy go one episode without saying: "This show X"

As for our favourite Aojo?
This guy deserves a little more recognition for his work.

Yugioh Abridged is my favourite.

i liked SSJGozar's stuff until most new episodes were him forming a story around a picture some girl he knew drew.

i really liked DBZ Abridged, although i did find their finale a bit disappointing. their abridged movies are pretty funny.

some of AntfishFTW stuff was funny...some...like the hellsing and bleach one

YGO is the way to go. The episodes crack me up, though i feel LK has been losing steam as of late.

I also enjoyed hbi2k's Berserk Abridged Series, but mostly because i have tender feelings towards Berserk itself. It had a lot of fun moments though, particularly this one. Yes, gay jokes are stupid, offensive and actually pretty cheap, especially with androginous white haired bishies around, but... Rico Suave... that's just too perfect.

TFS doesn't make good criticisms about DBZ.
-EDIT- I also thought their voices weren't that great, although I thought Lanipator and LK were good.

@SaltyJoe:

I agree. LK's best episodes are his early ones. Especially episode 6.

The finale for DBZA was ok but I did enjoy their Bardock special. And I did like how they give Nappa some respect seeing how popular their Nappa segments are now.

I did like how they tied in future events post Frieza evens and tied in the movies.

LK is pretty good as Frieza also.

I've really enjoyed a lot of the recent episodes of YGO abridged.
