Oh Ok regardless I still prefer Shinji/Rei to Shinji/Asuka and I'd always assumed Rei would be more akin to a distant relative than half sibling as I have no idea just how much of Yui's DNA she has. and plus Shinji/Rei wouldn't be the first couple I've supported with Oedipal or incestous overtones(Dante/Trish from Devil May Cry,Ragna/Noel from Blazblue for example. and both of those have similar circumstances to Shinji/Rei)

I'm not sure. I only directed the play, so that means I got to see the back of the audience's heads during the whole thing. They seemed deep in thought afterward, though. I know the actors in it thought it was the weirdest thing I had ever done to a script they wrote. So I'd say it was pretty successful.
