I just finished watching this the other night.

The story of a world where the sky is filled with un natural stars and people called contractors have power at a price.

I found the contractor's almost LCD like price for their powers the most fun part of the show.

Least favorite thing the dolls seems they just needed an excuse to have nearly comatose hotties around. > insert EoE Shinji joke here. <

Discuss.

There's going to be a second season of this show this October called: DARKER THAN BLACK: Ryuusei no Gemini. I'll be watching it.

I really liked the premise of having contractors with very unique and different powers but have to make up for using them (some luck out), and the fact that they didn't turn it into some thin-plotted battle royale like S-cry-ed turned out to be.

I loved this show! ^_^ It just had a really good atmosphere, and I found the characters were strong... they had problems, but they were able to roll with the punches.

I know what you mean about the "dolls", but that sort of fascinates me. It reminds me of people who've gone through great truama, and sort of tune out. As Ornette-dono-sama-kun-san says, there's a new season! I hope they explore the world more. ^_^

I just finished this series recently. They practically didnt explain anything in the show I wanted them to and they left a lot of room for more! I'm glad there is a second season and I'll be keeping an eye out for it.

DTB had lots of potential in terms of plot character, and atmosphere, but they didn't execute the idea too well IMO. It seemed too normal, and that everything that I just mentioned was only hinted at

I'll be watched season 2, since I at least enjoyed the first one.

DON'T SAY NORMAL!

Anyway, this show was pretty cool, and watching it with an anime club, with spontaneous riffing, made this show all the better. I'm looking forward to the next season when it comes out, but I might put off watching it until the anime club shows it.

Darker than Black was mediocre at best. The only thing it had going for it was pretty animation. Both opening songs made me want to gouge my eyes out. I especially like how at the end, nothing is explained. If you ask me, it is far worse than s-CRY-ed, which pretended to be nothing more than a fighting show.

i quite enjoyed Darker Than Black. It wasn't the best anime ever but it was pretty good, however towards the end they overused the whole

Well, I figured this was as good a place as any to bring to light my official review of Darker Than BLACK. And for all you haters: I loved it (it's now one of my favorites), so get over the fact I gave it a 9/10.

That said, here it is: http://sachi13.wordpress.com/2010/03/21/sachis-review-darker-than-black/ (Yes, my new blog location)

It sounds like I'll have to give it another shot. I watched the first few episodes back when it was first being released, but it couldn't really hold my interest. From what a I remember though, I really liked the first episode.

second season is nothing more than an arc that lasted too long. It had promise, then nothing happened. Then all of a sudden plot.
