I am fairly sure that having a bit of underboob under the orange thingis on Asuka's plugsuit has been Sadamoto's preferred way of doing things in ye olde days and Honda carried it over once he started doing the massive amounts of promo illustrations.

My point was that Asuka doesn't look like she's receiving adequate support, to the point of "popping out". This isn't a problem in any Sadamoto illustrations I can recall.

Production IG is making seasons 2 and 3 of flcl!!!! Wonder if Sadamoto will have any involvement with character designs. And Gainax, of course.

Wow, neat, thanks for the scan! The details in the BG are awesome, Gendo was interrupted while shaving it seems!

In a recent interview this same week he said that he still 'doesn't know what his work will be' because 'the series were originally made by both Gainax and I.G but this time it's only I.G', that 'he asked, and they told him that MAYBE they'll use his characters designs' and that's 'all what he knows until this day'.
I can post the link to the interview, though is not in english. I also expect him to be there, but there's still no guarantees.

The Pachinko Poster of 3.0 'll be my new Desktop picture and substitutes my EoE Poster. It has the same vibe like the posters from Blade Runner. Nice you have it. :D

You know, this is the fourth time I've seen this picture, but not in this resolution. I really, REALLY enjoy the attention to detail they put into the instruments, specifically the stringed ones. I've played the violin for many years, and I am constantly peeved whenever I see a picture that didn't even bother to look up a picture of a violin/viola/cello etc. for reference, but this picture has every detail correct from the proper holding form to even adding small details like shoulder rests. It really makes me appreciate this a picture a lot more.

That being said, why the hell are Asuka's eyes green?
