What is the post-3I world like?

You know, I've never once seen a post-3I dojin or fanfic that explores the idea (which to me is a perfectly natural assumption) that the other characters will come back sooner or later; it's invariably just Shinji and Asuka doing the "Adam and Eve" deal... _

The S/A Adam and Eve stuff is at least truer to what we are given than what is all too common in continuation fics - at best a selective pick'n'mix from EoE (things like Shanejayell's "Third Genesis" come to mind here), discarding stuff that gets in the way of business as usual.

You're more likely to find instances of other returnees post-3I in the final scenes of alternate or crossover fics e.g. the Utena crossover, Shin Kakumei Evangelion; or my own humble work.

Same for me. I fully support an A/S relationship, but when you look at the evidence, the possibility of an Adam/Eve scenario is very unlikely.

Yep, it's highly unlikely, especially when Yui told Shinji that people can return if they want. I think it's safe to assume that from the billions of people in the sea of LCL, at least one more person would come back.

I also understand how a lot of ppl hate the Adam/Eve theory b/c it seems more like a cliche in the end for me. I also like the Shinji/Asuka relationship just not that they can have thousands of kids.
