Is End of Evangelion your FAVORITE movie?
I got the idea from the anime topic. Is End of Evangelion one your favorite movies? For me it is and it my favorite animated movie next to Akira and Lion King, not to mention that I would put it on my Top 10 favorite movies list also.

I love the movie and seen like three times. To me it I enjoy it since it was powerfully deep, but also amazing on the physical conflict level as well like no other animated movie I seen so far. Not to mention I love the art direction too.

I really enjoy the first half, instrumentality gets boring after the 3rd go through. Its also something that if i'm watching on my tv, i have to worry about people who havnt seen it or a lot of anime and their looks of shear confusion. I remember the first time i saw it was at a friends house and no one else had seen the series, so whenever people came to see what i was watching they were all wtf?

-the only English language novel actually being developed in parallel to its Japanese version involving a pan-human Soviet in a galactic struggle to survive and to export the communist utopia/revolution to all the down trodden alien class and race- one of the premise being that Khrushchev remains and has abandoned Lysenko stupidity

Not especially. Shinji's flagrant douchebagishness in the movie drags it down a few notches.

When I read Victor Frankl's "Man's search for meaning", I think what he talks about is completely profound, but at the same time the book itself bores the hell out of me, I had to take it in about 10 minutes sittings over a two week period to read it all, and there were still things my mind fell asleep to.
Now End of Eva is far more exciting, but at the same time... It's like Passion of the Christ, if you're enjoying it, you're probably looking at it in the wrong way, or at least an unintended one. :shades:

Of course it's my favorite, it's the got all the key elements of a awesome movie: Giant, naked white women with a vagina on her forehead; jerking off over a comatose redhead; Orange Juice; Pedophile Women; bitter sweet endings; and last but not least, Mind Fuckery.
Oh yeah, this is definitely my favorite.
