I had recieved the Evangelion Platinum Perfect collection recently...

And a forum member mentioned to me a couple of weeks or a month ago that if I do aquire the Platinum collection to see Tiffany's Asuka collection.

And I must say it scared the living crap out of me...

I don't mean that in a bad way.
I mean just wow...

It looks like the whole collection adds up to at least over... a lot of money!

This feels like Laurel and Hardy.

ADV's original "Platinum" DVD release of Evangelion in America, (but not the thinpak edition, IIRC, and certainly not the old "Perfect" edition) contains a short feature where Tiffany Grant takes viewers through her collection of Asuka-related stuff. Not sure which volume it's on.

Also: What bothered me about that segment was not so much watching Grant's Asuka collection, but the fact she never bothered saying WHERE she got at least some of the kickass goods from. (She did have a few cool things.)

I get the impression that at least some of it is gifts from fans... but yeah, you're right. With her husband spending half the year in Japan negotiating licenses, a lot of it probably came straight from Akiba.

Whenever I question the size of my collection, I just remind myself that there are people out there that have so much more than me, and then I don't feel so bad anymore. At least I can fit the majority of my Eva stuff onto a single shelf unit. Granted, they're mostly books... which store well. Oh well.
