For those who don't know it, IGN is an awesome site, that covers games, TV series, movies, comics, music and so on. Recently, they started making a Top 100 animated series list, posting 10 winners each day starting from 100. And so, I started following the list in hope that Eva would eventually show up.

Misato: Congratulations, we are number 10!

Other noticeable anime that made it into the list were: Cowboy Bebop, Death Note and Fullmetal Alchemist. I missed Ghost in the Shell SAC, though.

Number 1 anime on the list!
Deus Io Vult! (God wills it!)
"Get your ass in gear!" Asuka

"Catdog has an S2 engine in his stomach. He does not need to eat, and whatever he does eat is reacted with antimatter to provide endless energy." Ruthlessly stolen from anon.

Simpsons has been shit for over a decade now.

It's like the racehorse that should've been put down, but is still being entered because it once won the grand national.

Yay, number 10. I'm happy that it's on a list like that because most people can't focus on something like that.

Despite Simpsons going down the tubes lately, it is remarkable it's been on the air for as many years as it has. Besides, I personally still think it's hilarious, it just hasn't had that emotional depth some of the earlier seasons had.

And at least Eva's ON the list and not overlooked.

You guys actually care about the content of a site that knows only how to lick the hands which feed it?

What's with all of the Simpson's related hate? It's still a good, show, for proof watch the episode where Homer's mother (spoiler alert) died.

I'm also biased to the Simpsons because they mentioned a certain giant purple robot in "Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo".

I like The Simpsons. Although the recent seasons and episodes have not been so good and the movie was rather disappointing.

These days I'm so-so with The Simpsons.

I think I like Futurama more than the Simpsons.

I've never really liked the Simpsons too, but you simply can't ignore something that has 20 seasons. Out of all cartoons out there it is easily the most iconic.

Ummmm.... What is that even supposed to mean?

In the U.S. at least. In Japan, they have THIS.

I guess in the U.S., there's also Looney Tunes, which has been around for something like 50 seasons.

I just can't believe they put batman over looney tunes. Bugs bunny et al would have been number one on my list. I still like those old cartoons better than anything else out there.

But I can understand why Simpsons was #1. That franchise is a monster that is syndicated all around the globe and is liked pretty much everywhere it is aired.

While I am impressed that Evangelion made number 10 on that list, I am hesitant to call this cause for celebration, as it lends some credence to other TOP [insert random number] [insert medium/genre] of ALL TIME lists.
God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.

At least Batman: The Animated Series got the #2 position, and The Real Ghostbusters is on there at all, so I'm perfectly happy with it.

Congrats on EVA making #10, though. I'm very surprised it's on there, and I'm amused to read the comments of IGN's members, who seem to miss the point!

Yay, The Real Ghostbusters. I loved that show. Got the 2-disc DVD of the movies and there was a couple episodes on there.

It cool that it is #10, The Simpsons was great back in the 80's, 90's and early 00's but it got downhill since then. I like Family Guy and American Dad way better.

The Guyver and TTGL should be on the list though.
