CR Evangelion - For pachinko, not the movies...
Moved from here since these are patently not from the next movie. -Reichu

Looks like a fan reworking of scenes from 1.0 to me. It's mostly the Operation Yashima section, with Eva-01 and Eva-00 replaced by a solo Eva-04 (commanded by a levitating Kaworu, as per Eva-02 in #24). The ESV is replaced by the transparent shield, an accessory that came with the Kaiyodo action figure (and possibly other versions, I dunno):
...and the LnY replaces the Positron Rifle as the implement of Ramiel's doom. Notice how they emulate the final cut of 1.0, by putting Kaworu against the backdrop of the Moon (as opposed to Earth).
Kind of cool. Wouldn't mind having SAUCE, and a bigger version.

Whatever it is, it looks just like the thing in the photo, only without the forward-facing curvy thing on the bottom of the gun.

It's a Kaworu-centric version of Operation Yashima. Why does Mari need to be anywhere?
Thanks for the bigger versions, qu4d.
EDIT: The possibility now comes to mind that these could well be scans from the recently-released official Kaworu book -- albeit specially-created fan service. (I'm a little confused as to why the panel order is Western-style, though...)

You never did those tests as a little kid where they gave you a bunch of cards with pictures on them and told you to put them in order to tell a story? (I.e., you're assembling a narrative going by visual cues alone.)
I'll give a big hint. Check out the row where Ramiel gets Speared. Read it in Western order. Then read it in Eastern order. Which way doesn't involve any temporal paradoxes? (Not that this is the only instance that gives the order away.)

Oh okay nevermind, for some reason I thought they were official screenshots from the actual movie. It's just a little comic panel.

Even if they were from the movie, why the deuce would Mari be required to be in them? Being in the movie does not mean being in every second of the movie.jim_loves_randy wrote:Oh okay nevermind, for some reason I thought they were official screenshots from the actual movie.

I still kind of wonder why anyone would think these panels were from 2.0, assuming they'd seen the first movie and all.
