Yo Monkey, what's with the funky error message that appears every once in a while? Something about exceeding a limit of 50,000.

I have a feeling The Monkey doesn't want to admit a flaw in his uber forums. Come to think of it I haven't seen The Monkey in a while. Where did he go?

I'm not entirely certain what this means, but its only happened one other time to my knowledge.

I'm going to be doing some work on the forums soon, perhaps that will clear up the problem.

A quick google on "exceeded the 'max_questions' resource" turned up a few pointers about how default configuration settings can spawn off hundreds of unwanted and useless queries (so a 50k-question/hour host limit can turn into only a few dozen actual page views).

Aaaaa so the problem is people like me that reload the sight to much lookinf gor repays to their posts! I'll keep that in mind.

Now that we're talking about problems, there's something I've been thinking. Phpbb 2.0.11 was released to address some security problems, specially one I think it's called the "highlight exploit". T'seems it was so dangerous that could give people full access to the whole server. There was a small code upgrade for it I used on my forums (which is 2.0.6), so you don't need to upgrade everything and could lose the mods. It's highly recommendable to put it here too, if it hasn't been applied yet.

A version upgrade or at least adding the code that eliminates that vulnerability would be wise, methinks.
