Eva MMORPG

What would happen if they made an Eva MMORPG? You could make a custom pilot and Eva, maybe make your own Angels (MAYBE) and battle on the Tokyo-3 plains and in the Geo-Front. I'd like that game. Anyone else agree or disagree, state why in here.

I think it would [Gainax wouldn't have an MMO made but...] be setafter 3I, involve none of the original characters, and assumne a good chunk of humanity is back alive and intent on killing each other.
And they somehow got Evas, and haven'tfigured cooperation would be better, and you'd really have to suspend your disbelief.

Any MMO that involved Evas would be too much suspension of disbelief and totally ridiculous.

In Episode 02, the committee mentions that the repair costs for Eva-01 and 00 would bankrupt a small country. Thousands of Evas? Come on. Get real. And the Geofront can't hold thousands of Evas, not to mention they can't have made thousands of Adam clones without the whole project getting noticed more. All in all, it wouldn't work. And a post 3I MMO would be boring. Interesting idea, but in execution, there isn't much there.

Evangelion doesn't require suspension of disbelief, and is utterly realistic?

It wouldn't work unless it was purposefully silly using SD EVAs or something. Evangelion is just not a setting that lends itself well to this sort of thing.

By suspension of disbelief, I mean ignoring the fundamental...laws of physics. Like being able to fit thousands of Evas in the Geofront. I meant suspension of disbelief with regards to the series.

Well the Geofront is destroyed, probably multiple nations with multiple, Big O style hangers or an adaption of the Geofront's. If you don't want to take the cool way.
Maybe I should have underlined and bolded "suspend your disbelief"

Guys, serioudly. IT"S A GAME! I don't care if they have you choose a country of origin if it's still on Earth, and if it's in space, well thats overkill. But seriously, use game physics not real life ones. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH THEY COST!!! It's not like I'm talking about making real EVA's, god.

Hmm, I'd look at it, play it maybe once, and ditch it soon after. My computer sucks. If you're that worried about holes in the plot and such, have it take place in another of those weird alternate realities that Shinji dreams up.
