Dave wrote:The only thing I've heard Maaya Sakamoto sing is the opening theme to RahXephon, Hemisphere. And I really, really liked it. So, do you have any song suggestions for me Reichu?

Gawd, that's a tough question; there are so many good ones! Since Yoko Kanno composed almost every song that Maaya has sung, that makes the hit-to-miss ratio all the more impressive (i.e., many more hits than misses). I suppose a few to start with would be:

Yucca
Yakusoku wa iranai (I don't need a promise)
Pocket o kara ni shite (Empty the Pocket)
Tune the Rainbow
Birds
Shimashima
Gravity
Cloud 9
Yubiwa (Ring)
Light of Love
Kiseki no Umi (Sea of Miracles)
Watashi wa oka no ue kara kabin o nageru (I throw a vase from atop the hill)

Seven, I'll probably just throw the various "background J-Pop songs" from NGE together into a ZIP sometime, but not at this very moment.

Songs from "Lilia" and "GYUU" used in NGE are here. But it's big (over 50 MB), so use GetRight or something.

I'm not sure what the song is, but I'm pretty sure it isn't Pachelbel's Canon... the Canon is played in Death and Rebirth, twice.

Actually, on my dvd it is Bach's Jesu, Joy of man's desiring which is in EoE (when the live action scences are interspersed with Shinji talking to Rei and Kaworu. My death and rebirth is also from Bach, cello suite no. 1, s. 1007 (prelude)...

Okay, this is one I haven't been able to figure out for the life of me, though I'm sure Reichu probably has a book with the answer lying around somewhere...

What is the song(s) being rewound while Shinji is on the verge of kissing Asuka in Episode 9?

The only lyrics I can make out are:

"go anywhere, no no... get up and try (hide)... leave (love) them together... one girl and boy... /any mother you... I wonder how many five years ago... I don't think you know... don't look at me like... wonderman (one came back?)... but I'm not some cuckoo... like all the rest... I know it's hard for you slipping slowly left behind... bleeding heart... no no no... "

_you can't do anything, so don't even try
_get some help
_don't do what sonic does
