Shin-seiki drones on about the usefulness of a literal-minded approach to understanding EVA.

Orin_Quon indicates that, despite being a big enough fan of EVA to buy the Renewal boxset, he strangely enough seems to despise the characters.

Felineki drools over Reichu's mind-boggling depiction of EVAs in various states of undress.

tv33 or siendra threaten to beat up someone for being insufficiently appreciative of their honeybunch, Rei.

saiajin prince pops up in a thread and sez "Huh? What were we talking about here?"

Oh gawd... This is a hoot and a holler, baby.

- Starmorpher talks about self-gratification using pictures of Asuka.

- Dr. Nick makes up a ludicrous dialogue involving the members of SEELE.

- Sharp-kun uses the word "clone" instead of jumping onto the Cool Acronym Bandwagon.

- ANYONE uses an acronym that isn't part of NGE canon. (I.e., GNR counts, FoL/LoL/EoE/JSSDF/etc. don't.)

Hopefully we can think of some more so that NO regular posters are left unscathed.

God, I have more drinking game rules than you could possibly want... Here are some of the most important ones:

Take a sip when

- you see Gendo's glasses glowing
- Shinji screams
- someone says LCL
- Misato explains some crazy whacked-out plan that couldn't possibly succeed under any circumstances (but, of course, does)
- you see Shigeru's guitar case
- Gendo does something sinister and vague
- budget clips are seen (long periods of time without movement/silhouetted frozen scenes with just talking, etc): keep drinking through the scene

Take two sips when

- PenPen doesn't do something funny
- Misato gives private orders to Makoto
- Maya whines
- anyone other than Gendo speaks with SEELE
- Rei smiles / blushes
- Misato is not acting like a slob at home
- a river of blood appears
- Asuka is nice to Shinji
- Ritsuko starts hacking
- Gendo refers to SEELE as a bunch of old fools
- when someone starts having a breakdown
- Kaworu says something well that can be considered kind of fruity

Specials

- When anyone thinks about/remembers their mother, take a mouthful. Take two mouthfuls if the memories of a mother are pleasant instead of angst-ridden.

- Whenever Misato chugs a beer, chug whatever you're drinking. Make sure to give a hearty whoop after drinking it.
- whenever a huge secret is revealed, finish your drink
- everytime you say "whoa.." or "holy ****" take a sip
- when Ritsuko destroys the dummy plug system, count as many Reis as you can and take the equivalent number of sips as counted Reis

Finish your drink when

- Shinji actually shows some balls
- Shinji is very happy
- Shogouki goes berserker and eats that damn angel!!!
- Fly me to the Moon is played. Afterall, a new episode requires a fresh drink!
- someone has complete faith in an Evangelion from first sight
- you feel that you truly understand what The End of Evangelion means

- A n00b comes and says "First Impact killed the dinosaurs". Repeat if nobody corrects him.
- there's a flame war

Get totally but happily wasted when ADV officially announces the cancelling of the Live-Action Project. The world of Evangelion doesn't seem depressive anymore!

You know, I thought of this one after my initial post, but it seems you beat me to it.

My strange behavior has gotten me into enough drinking game rules as it is, but...

- Take one sip whenever Reichu makes a post referencing her doujinshi-in-progress. (:rolleyes
- Takes two sips if someone ELSE refers to it. (!!!)
- Get as plastered as humanly possible if Reichu gets out of the conceptualization stage and actually starts it. (You'll probably NEED to be drunk to appreciate it at first, anyway.)

- Something cruel happens to Rei. (And if you don't feel bad about it, slap yourself)

- Once for everytime the word "Rei" is said in refference to a percent proving how impossible something is.

- Asuka says something mean, or funny, or both

- You realize Hikari is a character in the show, via her making her presence know (by existing within the limits of what the screen is showing)

- Whenever you hear a crazy guitar riff in the background music

2 Sip when....

- Gendo does something "bad ***", or you don't understand why he did something

- You know what specific version of Fly Me To The Moon is playing, and you can detail a list of the soundtrack compilations its been on

- Whenever a NERV employee plays air guitar

Well spend on the boards from the weekend. There are at least three post-thesis parties I'm supposed to be at tonight, tomorrow I have to present my project at the UQ Innovation Expo, and then comes sleep, and then I'll be back on the boards more regularly.

Not me (I'm 100% sober; I won't even touch stuff that had alcoholic beverages evaporated off for the sake of taste), but that doesn't stop me from laughing raucously at some of the suggested rules.

What the hell, don't tell me the threads got combined?????????? Come on, it was about two entirely different subjects, one being drinking while reading posts on the forum and one being about drinking to be done while watching the series.


Anyway Reichu, I definetly won't be doing any drinking (of alchohol) but I'm sure this stuff could be used just the same with any beverage.
