Unpopular Evangelion Opinions

I just realized that most of the forums I visit have a thread like this, but we don't. So I might as well create it before the new series comes out.

I like 3.0 significantly more than I like 1.0 and 2.0, it felt a lot more new and original to me. Even if all the changes weren't for the better it was cool to see.

Given the exhaustive amount of discourse I've seen on the Netflix dub in the last seven years, this is hardly an unpopular opinion.

It's been long time since I posted something about or watched Evangelion again though i think there is one unpopular opinion(i don't really know).

That Asuka didn't kissed Shinji cuz she was bored but she either felt left out as in her mind Misato took Kaji from her or she wanted to feel adult by replacing Shinji with Kaji as for the same reason. As it was also shown that Shinji was getting place in her heart by episode 22'.

As offcourse the way scene was shown it's not hard to say that Asuka was imagining Misato kissing Kaji and feelings like she lost the race.
Like come on it's Evangelion and then we first see Misato and Kaji kissing and then immediately scene cuts to Asuka like she is thinking or imagining something she doesn't wants. Ye this can be a interpretation.

I said this because i remember last time when I read the article about the episode on evawiki(like month ago) , it was written that Asuka was bored and that's why she kissed him.
When even the unused songs say "kiss you with a kiss that wasn't true, it wasn't you at all".

Idk if this really is a unpopular take but I ma leave it here cuz it's been long time since I posted.Let's see what else I can find later.
