To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the "Evangelion" series, the "Evangelion Illustration Collection II 2017-2025" will be released on Friday, August 29, 2025.
This art book, "Evangelion Illustration Collection II 2017-2025," which is a sequel to "Evangelion Illustration Collection 2007-2017" published in 2018, contains more than 400 color illustrations, including official visuals for the movies, popular campaign illustrations, and original illustrations drawn for magazines!

This book looks back with illustrations on the various projects that excited the movies and their surroundings, from "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone" to "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," the final part of the four-part series. It features large-sized illustrations by the main staff of Studio Khara, as well as unique illustrators and animators, from official movie illustrations to special illustrations from campaign projects!

The cover illustration is a new drawing by Atsushi Nishigori, the chief animation director of "Shin Evangelion"!

Got the artbook a day or so ago. Pretty much has everything Eva related during the time frame (minus most new stuff in 2025), even including illustrations for events in China and all the gacha game collaborations. Even has art from Takeshi Honda from a few years ago that never saw the light of day until now.
Interesting, however, that some things didn't make the cut. Nothing from the Evangelion Battlefields game is here for one. Even more of interest however is that only three pieces of art from "EVA-EXTRA-EXTRA" were included (Sakura with a bat, the group pilot pic in swimsuits, and the cover art for -120min). Considering what did make the cut its kind of strange things from that booklet didn't make it. Maybe they felt the other pieces were too much like fanart? Or maybe its gonna be in a CRC, I dunno. They didn't put the Eva art from some of the old calendars in the first book either for some reason.
Still, a worthwhile book that actually properly credits artists of the promo art.

Just to be sure, the first book didn't have any Obi, did it? Because I bought the first one from Eva Store directly, like the new one, but the new one has an Obi.
