Nothing major but the official Evangelion page has shared the 4K, Bluray & DVD case for 3.0+1.11 will be white with a rainbow motif on the lettering.

Honestly, they need to release a new a cut of the first film on 4K in a red case called 1.111 cause my OCD can't handle the Japanese boxes all sticking to the official color scheme except the first film which is in a shiny silver box. Lol.

Oh thank goodness, if my copy actually had the poster for the cover of the box I would've lost my mind on the inconsistent cases. In comparison to that, my silver cover for 1.11 is negligible.

GKids JUST announced for one night only Evangelion will play on IMAX screens on November 30th.

Just got back from this and it was so cool.

According to Boxofficemojo the three regular theatrical screenings of Thrice Upon A Time across the US pulled in a total of $755,267. That's incredibly damn impressive for only three showings of a movie that has been available on streaming for over a year now.

They don't have reporting on how the one-night IMAX screening did but considering my screening was close to sold out and from what I saw online so where many other screening then Thrice Upon A Time did well over $1M at the box office in it's super short run. Depending on how big the IMAX screening was there's maybe even the slightest chance on Nov 30th Eva could have been the #1 movie in the USA that day. At the very least it was the #2 that day. I hope GKids shares some numbers at some point cause I would loooove to know.

It's a shame the film never got a real US theatrical run cause I think it would have done very well.

I saw it twice theatrically. In IMAX on 11/30 and in a regular theater on 12/6. Loved it both times and so glad GKids actually put in the work to make this happen.

Oh, and kuribo-04, looks like Thrice Upon A Time is going to run theatrically in Spain staring January 19, 2023.

I sort of exist between countries, so I'm not sure I'll be able to go... I hope. But I'm definitely telling friends!

I had bought several seats for friends on my theatrical night, but they all bailed so I used those seats as a buffer to keep other viewers at a distance but some jerk just had to ignore his ticket seat # and sit at one of mine, and of course I wasn't going to make a scene when AVANT2 was already playing so I ignored it but he was starting to become an irritable nuisance near the end of the movie....

That sucks. Few things are better than a great movie in a movie theater but few things are worse than a jerk ruining the experience.

In other news, GKids tweeted yesterday that the 3.0+1.11 Blu-ray is coming soon. Maybe we won't have to wait too long after the Japanese March release to get a copy in the US.

EDIT3: Trailer is beautiful. Haven't found any changes. I think this is more about reminding people about the film and celebrating it, not really showcasing the little updates. I wonder if we'll get to see any footage of the short film?

Also next week the film comes to Spanish cinemas, including my hometown's, which is just surreal lol. But I'm not in Spain currently. ;_;

Asuka's original plugsuit is a nice touch, though I think it makes it seem a bit more convuluted when this implies it got damaged during -46h's events, then Asuka would still use it again during -120min.

Who is this new character? Or is it an old one? Some people think it's Midori with her natural hair... which is surprising, I thought anime girls had natural pink hair!!! Eye colour and general design seem to match, plus those distinctive full lips, but she looks a bit too young. Could it be part of a flashback even further in time?

That dog button thingy on her cap is suspect. Maybe it's some sort of link to Shinji, or the Ikaris we don't know off? inb4 secret half-sister

Looks like we're getting our Eva 2.5! These images sure make it look like 46hs after 2.0 rather than 46hs before 3.0.
