Based on the 1946 novel which was previously adapted in 1947 with Tyrone Power.

I can't wait to go in blind and watch this. I wasn't in love with The Shape of Water but I always enjoy his stuff. I hope he keeps on making stuff like this.

No one wanted to talk about this? Bummer.

Saw both this and the original movie when they were fresh. Was happy to walk away from both happy to have taken it. Del Toro was always good about taking material he loves and adjusting them to suit his own needs, and this pretty much proves that if one wants to remake an already fantastic movie, it's better to do your own spin and express your artistic desires in your own way.
