Yeah that's the plan. I wanted to get the OG Maya versions of 21-26 out earlier (which is out) but the rest I'll start handling once I've finished the main dubs.

The first alternate version will likely be the Consistency version of the Rebuilds, then the other ones as I go.

I think of all the versions, "NGE TV Cast" for the Rebuilds sounds the most interesting. I'd love to hear Tristan MacAvery's voice on Rebuild!Gendo, but how far will this go? Just everyone ripped straight from the ADV dub, down to Touji and Kensuke?

NGE TV Cast means the cast used for the TV series in this combined dub, so mostly ADV, with a few VSI cast as well.

That one is honestly more an experiment. If I can replace the line with a suitable line from the original series then it will be replaced, if not then it will be left as is. 1.11 and 2.22 will likely be as far as the experiment goes, considering that 3.33 onwards is largely original.

Regarding anyone who does reprise in Rebuild their lines will likely just remain as the Rebuild ones.

For the Rebuilds, I saw you chose Jerry Jewell to play Kaworu. Do you prefer his performance over Daman Mills?

Yeah, I do prefer Jewell's Kaworu (He was the first voice I heard play the role of Kaworu) so he will be Kaworu for 1.11-3.33.

However as I said, the first alternate version I get onto will be the Consistency version of the Rebuilds, where Mills will be Kaworu.

I guess I was little surprised since Daman seemed like a closer voice match for Clifford Chapin compared to Jewell. Not that it's a problem of course, Jewell was pretty good in the part. When it came to the Rebuild voice cast, was matching your series' voices something you were thinking about or was it more picking what you felt was a better performance for the movie?

A bit of both. The big problem is naturally that Funimation's dub is for all intents and purposes unfinished, unlike NGE where both dubs are complete. (With ADV's arguably the most complete due to also having dubs for the OA versions of 21-24.) This is partly the reason why I decided there should be two versions of the Rebuild dubs. The Consistency version, designed for consistency with the dub of 3.0+1.11, (which is basically Amazon dub with Shinji, Misato, Asuka, Gendo and Sakura using lines from Funimation because they're the same actors and they're mostly better in those dubs), while the Definitive version (which is my personal recommendation) is the version that's a more equal split between the two dubs, but you live with the fact that about half the cast changes for 3+1.

Regarding Kaworu, I went with Chapin because I think he is one of the highlights of the VSI Dub, but I also think he's pretty equal to Greg Ayres from ADV DC, but if I went that route, that means I'd likely go with Aaron Krohn for Death and EoE and while I like his Kaworu, I can't stop hearing Kaji in his voice. Tbf though, I think both Jewell and Mills are fantastic Kaworu's, easily top 2 in English. Jewell just edges out Mills for me for the top spot, so he got the spot in the Definitive version. (Kaworu was probably the toughest choice for Rebuild though, a lot of the other characters I had a clear thought for who I wanted to voice them.)

Besides, I personally feel Funimation's dub is fantastic, and I want to use as much of it as I can.

Hi all! Here is the full Changelog for Episode 25': Air/Love is destructive. Lots of little fixes throughout this Episode due to the Manga Dub adding things that weren't really necessary.

The first half of End of Evangelion will release sometime over the next few days, I'm going to give it a full watch through again, now that I've completed things and see if there's any little things I've missed, and it will release after that. The audio file will be designed for viewing with The End of Evangelion Movie, not the Video Format version if you own that copy. The audio track will simply end after the Credits, leaving silence for Episode 26' (which I haven't started work on yet.) Once E26' is done, then the full film will release.

The Changelog is once again under a spoiler header, so I can avoid a wall of text.

Note: I opted not to note every single instance of Hyuga's line being Pitched down here, he has a lot more lines in End compared to Death, and I felt it was pretty clear that was the Route being taken for Death and EoE from the Death Changelog. If I did note every instance, about half the changelog would just be this.

I will also be releasing a couple small updates to Episodes 22 and 23 over the next few days. I've been writing English Subs using the Dub script in this project and have made a couple fixes while doing this. And yes, these Captions/Subs will most likely be released to the Public as well.

The first half of End of Evangelion (Episode 25': Air/Love is destructive) is complete and has been released! (The audio file is still uploading as of this writing, but will be up shortly!)

Episode 26': Sincerely Yours/I need you. will start work sometime over the next couple of days.

Updates have been made to Episode 22' as well, so it is worth re-downloading to get the small fixes made (largely audio level-wise). Both versions of 22' currently available have been updated and the files will also be available soon. Episode 23' will also get an update sometime soon as well, for similar reasons.

Hi all! Just giving a quick update regarding the status of E26', the second half of EoE.

The film is now viewable from start to finish. Preliminary line choices and placement of lines has been completed. TInkering and finalising has not started just yet, but I'd say sometime in November is when the complete film will release.

Here are my notes for E26':

Cast:
Manga: Gendo, Shinji, Rei (Who actually has lines!), Fuyutsuki, Keel, Aoba, Maya, Asuka, Misato, Kaji, Ritsuko
VSI: JSSDF Soldiers, 5.1, SEELE, Hyuga (Pitched-down), Kaworu, Yui, Kids Shinji plays with, Child Shinji (Grunts only), Child Asuka, MAGI, Eva Series, Other Extras

Mistranslations/Terrible translations that are technically correct:
Manga:
Missing the line about "Complimenting an imperfect heart" during Gendo's prep
"Merging with Rei" vs "Synchronising with Rei"
"Fruit of Wisdom" instead of "Fruit of Knowledge"
Missing the last line in the Sandcastle Scene
Asuka's first line in the episode is simplified to "God you're annoying!"
VSI:
Shinji still can't pronounce Kaworu
"What is wrong with you?" Should be "You could never understand me!"
More a personal thing, but I really don't like the translation of the Hell's Kitchen scene. Shinji comes off extremely selfish. The more neutral language of the Manga translation works better imo.
"Why do you have hands?" Is a terrible translation but technically correct.
Sadness is not the same thing as Loneliness Rei
"All is very good" Is also garbage
The subtitles for the bit where Shinji is hearing Misato, Asuka and Rei near the end of Komm Susser Todd is oddly specific in what it wants to sub.
"What's wrong with that?" compared to the subs "Was that wrong?" Gives off two pretty different interpretations during the Live-action sequence. (Looking back on this, I'm not sure how different the two really are? One line seems to give the impression that Shinji knows its wrong, and the other line is the opposite.)
The script is still garbage.

Additions:
Manga:
"Abort mission" etc. line is unique to dub
Some sound effects missing due to either bad conversion to 5.1 or missing from original sound mix (It's likely the second one, remember the Manga dub was created based on the original sound mix, not the Renewal sound mix)
Shinji has an additional "Asuka" during the Hell's kitchen scene (Not actually the case, it's just moved to a different spot.)
SPLAT sound effect during Eva Series piercing themselves (I've heard this is the case although I honestly couldn't hear it, I could be wrong though)
VSI:
"A fragile world" During Rei's Sea of LCL monologue (ie. The more literal translation left a gap in the dialogue and instead of adjusting the previous lines to compensate, a small line was added instead.)

Hi all! End of Evangelion is now complete and that also means the Original Series is now done! The Movie's dub audio file is now available on the MEGA link.

Also, as celebration for finishing the first major part of this Project, no decryption key will be required for the time being. I believe we can all be civil about this, so enjoy the dubs!

I will be starting work on the Rebuilds within a week or so. As I mentioned, there will be two versions of each film: A Definitive and a Consistency Version. The Consistency Version is designed for Consistency with the single dub of 3.0+1.11 (so largely Amazon untouched, with those characters that share a voice in both dubs utilising aspects from both), while the Definitive version is my personal recommendation, and is more of a mixture between both the Funimation and Amazon/Dubbing Bros Dubs.

I'll get the Changelog for E26' up within a day or so. I just want to relax for a little bit.

Enjoy the dub of End of Evangelion, just in time for Christmas!

As I mentioned, work on 1.11 will begin sometime within the next couple of weeks. Having a look at the audio files and stuff, the Amazon Dub has really loud dialogue, while its background audio is largely quiet. Funimation's dialogue is not as loud, and settles in the background audio much better (the background audio is also louder). The Amazon dialogue used will adjusted in volume so that, 1: it fits better with the Funi dialogue, and 2: better sits in the soundscape as a whole.

Hi all! Work on Evangelion 1.11 has officially begun!

I started picking lines and stuff today, and it feels good to finally get to Rebuild! I can say that for 1.11, it will largely be Funi Dub, with some representation from Amazon, mainly for reprisals. Shinji and Misato's lines so far have all come from Funimation. Gendo's lines I've done so far have entirely come from Amazon. This won't be the case for the whole movie, but I will say Gendo is the most likely candidate of the cast members who are in both dubs to utilise lines from the newer dub.

I am also happy to announce that there will be both a standard Stereo track, as well as a 5.1 Surround Sound track. I'm going to be working on both tracks simultaneously, and my goal will be to make them as close as possible.

There's a possibility that once the Rebuilds are done, I will go back and give the original series the 5.1 treatment as well.

Hey! First off, this is a really cool project! But I was wondering how I would go about using the audio files, would I have to source my own copy of Eva and use black magic editing to combine the audio with the footage? Basically I'm just asking for a how to guide, sorry. Thank you in advance!

mkvtoolnix is the standard mux/demux tool; depending on your source, you may need something like handbrake to build the video file.

Yes, you will need to provide your own copy of the show and movies to use the files. I'm not providing video files, only audio files. As Tines said, mkvtoolnix is the standard for muxing and demuxing. You may need to have a slight change in start time of the audio, it depends.
