Ego Dissolution and LSD

Just about everyone knows about acid and the psychedelic affect it has on peoples minds. I don't trip, but I think it sounds like fun. The point I want to make is that I happened upon a YouTube video that reviewed LSD and what it does to people. It briefly covered Ego Dissolution, which is described as feeling a barrier between yourself and others/everything around you. I didn't look too much more into it because the first thing to come to mind was "/EVANGELION!? AT FIELDS!?/"

I vaguely recall there being a movie that has been compared to EoE a few times, about a guy who experiments with psychedelic drugs to perform a sort of one-man human instrumentality project and in the end he succeeds.

So you're not the first to link the barrier-thing (at fields) and breaking it down and its connection to psychedelic drugs.
I just wish I could remember the name of the movie ...
