See this happy fellow behind the good men of the US Army?

His name is Scorponok. He is the reason I still have faith in next years movie adaption of Transformers.

I mean, Scorponok isn't a very well known Decepticon. And if he looks that damn vicious, if the people behind this thing can put that much effort into goddamn Scorponok, I am looking forward greatly to the inevitable confrontation between Optimus Prime and Megatron (With the original VAs, no less!)

I am so stoked about this.

A Decepticon from what I believe by the information I'm given; the new Transformer's movie.

Yeah, I know. I was being sarcastic. The image on its own is just incomprehensible to me. I would much rather see a video of this thing.

Well I have no common sense, literally. I can't tell. However, yes, a video would be pretty awesome.

I am so glad I'm not a Transformers-fan. Not that I hate Michael Bay or anything, but that's no Tranformer.

Uh, what? Because it has one Transformer with an animal alt-mode that has been around since the G1 cartoon anyway?

Wait, what? Really?
You know, like I said; I never did watch Transformers when I was a kid, and hold no fandom for it at all, but damn that's sweet. I hope you're right, 'cuz that might be enough to satisfy many oldtimers.

Indeedy! Both Peter Cullen and Frank Welker have signed on for the parts of Optimus Prime and Megatron respectively.

K, kinda cool. But too bad about the lack of the Transformers themesong playing over it.
If I have no soul to touch, no heart to love, no evil to rise up above
No angels and no ghosts, no real victories to toast
If you believe that this is true then I must ask;
to what end do you proceed?

The trailer looked cool, I might go see it. Not execting much of a story though.

About the story part, judging by the trailer alone I'm going to also have to go with this.

Yeah, saw the trailer in theaters while seeing the new Rocky. It was really cool, that is, when I figured out it was for Transformers. At first I thought being a July 4th release and the initial scenes sold it as a "Independence Day" knock-off. When things got rolling though, it was 100% badass. Things look very post mod sci fi in it though. I was taken aback by the realism in it as well. I was having a hard time picturing this all in live action.

Just saw it a few hours ago, and I can forgive Bay for Pearl Harbor, it's that damn good. Probably the best part is when the female lead disses Bumblebee's alt mode, and Bumblebee responds by reformatting into the '09 Camaro. 8)
