This seems to be a set-up for a PlayStation game, given the credits that appear at the start of part B, along with the Studio Khara logo.

Re: New Khara project -- Gravity Rush
I have a lot to say about this OVA, which is rather tangentially. But when this thread already exists...
I’ve never played the first part of the game, but it looks so cool I’ve almost bought a Vita for it. Part 2, however, will soon exist on PS4, which I own, fortunately. Unfortunately, tough I don’t life in Japan, so I’ll miss out for the beautiful Collector’s Edition - getting fobbed off with a bare-bones release. This is sad, because this way I’ll not only miss out on a beautiful box for my shelf, but also won’t be able to own Gravity Daze the Overture.
And this is sad, because this little OVA is pretty brilliant, for a multitude of reasons.
Gravity Daze is a Sony franchise, so I was kind of surprised that they didn’t let A1 make this supplementary OVA. The horrible faith that befell Persona 5, because A1 is a factory without passion or ♥ or anything remotely resembling artistic integrity. Which is fine, everybody needs to earn money. But when poor Persona 5, a franchise dripping with personality happens to be manufactured by a studio that tends to hammer out the soul of almost anything, I get worked up.
Anyways - Gravity Daze lucked out, because it not only avoided A1, it happened to be handled by fucking Khara, and it shows. It’s fun, it’s dripping Gainax spirit left and right, it’s endearing, and it makes me wanna play the game right now. It has an awesome aesthetic and sound design and almost made me forget that Stray Dogs almost made me hate Anime tropes.
Oh, and the characters are in 3D. And I almost didn't care. Khara almost nailed it with this one, they’re almost there. I thought, we wouldn’t have 3D-Anime without generating eye-cancer before 2020, but Khara almost pulled it off. Yes, it still can merely compete with „normal“ animation we see in TV-series. And it’s lightyears away from something like the gorgeous traditional Animation of Kizumonogatari. But we’re getting there. And I thank Khara for that.
The backgrounds aren’t in 3D and they are lovely.
So yes. This OVA by itself is fine, but for all those meta reasons I've stated above, I love every part of it.
