Thank you all, despite a very tiny amount of residual soreness I actually feel amazing right now and I was well enough to go back to work yesterday. Last night was probably the first time I was able to sleep for more than four hours and it was simply divine.
Please just call me Ian, "TheFrisky" is more of a title.

Re: FML general thread [8]
I had a sudden case of stomach gas after eating extremely greasy Chinese food which led to me throwing up in the toilet. Fortunately, when I woke up today all the pain I felt was gone.

That reminded of the stomach flu I had about last week. And let me tell you, it was not a real pleasant experience. I was fortunate enough to be able to work all week without feeling too bad. It’s just when I get home that it hit me hard; diarrhea, vomiting, a bit of a headache, and there was an incident where I was shaking uncontrollably. Those few days last week was an absolute flu virus inducing hell. I don’t think I had diarrhea that bad before. And I wasn’t able to eat for a while on the account that I didn’t want to risk vomiting again, and my stomach wasn’t quite up for it. But I finally got over it in the past three days, and I was able to eat properly again and my stomach has settled down.
It’s nice to know that you’re feeling better, Gus. Hang in there.

I’m not sure with the inflation going on, we’d be able to afford anything. And that we all have to be under a tight budget.

Just be happy it was mild food poisoning, and you didn't end up in and out of hospital like I have for the last three months, where it became life-threatening twice in a row and caused you to lose two thirds of your body weight. As it's going to take me at least six months to a year to fully recover from this, and I've had to learn to eat from scratch and my food needs to be paste. I now have an on over active immune system since it inflamed by throat esophagus, stomach and small intestine so taking meds is really not fun even if they are part of the healing process.
My take from this fuck take away make your own, it's not worth your life or the doctor's incompetence....
Anywhere can be paradise as long as you have the will to live. After all, you are alive, so you will always have the chance to be happy.

I’m sorry to hear that. That’s not something someone should go through on Valentine’s Day. Hope things get better.

Whoof, that's extremely rough, my condolences

That's needlessly cruel. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Decided to pass by for the first time in a few years.
Suffice to say Reddit's karma system only manages to create more stress and discord, and it's so tiresome trying to worry one's reputation constantly while on that platform. However, with Reddit being mismanaged with its owner clearly aiming to please his shareholders and to get rid of dissenters, the Lemmy alternatives have risen, but even then they also use the karma system.
