Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

My Self Portrait

For my video course, I have to make a short self portrait.

I chose to focus on my relationship with Evangelion.

I recorded dialogue for it, but I'm thinking about laying in different voices, a different one for each line. So if you want to help me out, break out a microphone, record yourself saying the following and send it to me.

Well, the lines are good, very good indeed. But those pictures... well... tell me something about the audience who will see it, so that I won't make an ass out of my mouth. :)

Well, my project critique was actually yesterday. My professor and classmates were impressed with the variety of types of imagery and the overall structure of this piece. I had not done something like this in my previous video courses, so I was pleased with the result. We had a good talk about my eva geekery, and the sorts of things that I've done. I'm glad it turned out well, I was actually very afraid to show it. I'm kind of glad that I wasn't able to get any recordings from people, as that would have made it a bit more anonymous.

I'm going to see about putting the project up on youtube for you all to see.

Jesus Eva Monkey your voice is so sexy. And how good it is to use your favourite cartoon in a school assignment. I wish someday I can do it also...

By the way the background music you used, is that one of those from Eva? I suppose so?

That was the coolest presentation project I've seen in ages. T3h k|_|d0z!

Kind of reminds me of the way I used some of my heavily anime-influenced early screenwriting work in my high school graduation presentation.

Wow... I think you had one or two butterflies in your stomach. I thought that you'll be... a bit "Titus-like"... :D You know, in a "here it is and think what you wanna think" way. :D But it was great! As far as I can tell, since we don't have video courses like this - or of any kind. (Though I'm just in a secondary school)
10/10! :D

Very, very good. Really, a great work, Monkey. 5 Stars from moi!

Also, I'd like to know the name of 'the rei-poem song'.

Strangely, you're not the only person to tell me that. I think I remember Xanatose once telling me that he thought my voice had a monotonous droning to it that was soothing or something... what's up with that?

tinmeigut wrote:By the way the background music you used, is that one of those from Eva?

It's called "Separation Anxiety" according to the version I have.

I mostly flipped through the section of Die Sterne that featured Tsurumaki and Sadamoto's art.

Thanks for the positive comments guys, I'm glad you liked it.

Really big words in the speech. I'd really like to hear you say "This is a G, this is an E, this is a D."

For personal reasons.
