Assuming that those gasmasks don't obscure their vision too badly, they'll probably see the vest in a few more steps, with the dress being partially transparent and the vest straps visible.

Assuming you have fuel to make the tank run, people who know the maintenance work required to keep the tank operational and know how to make the repairs after the tank receives damage, not to mention the guy inside the tank. Not to mention its amazingly obvious she has a suicide vest on (don't mind my right hand please) so she should already be dead by now.

Well, I know next to nothing about war, I refused to go to the military after all, so you might be right. But I guess this picture is more about the atmosphere of hopelessness real war creates than an actual to be analysed rebel war technique.

Basically, I wanted to write a Conditional sentence, but it seems you took it as simple past tense.

So, no. He is alive and well; but if he would call me, I would react the same way as the guy in the comic. (Out of spite, mostly, but in the end I would give in and visit him, nevertheless - making me hate myself for that decision)

Ah whatever, this discussion doesn't belong here, I hope I've cleared things up!
