On monday i will talk to my old psychiatrist and discuss the options of interment into a mental institution. Failing that i desire to go somewhere secluded and calm, far away from the city and from this home i suffered and toiled so much in. I am sorry, i just can't live like this anymore.
Part of this major lifestyle change/retreat to work on myself will be separating as much as possible (completely) from usual habits/hangout places and ideally the internet in general. I desire to avoid the internet both for the huge distraction it has been for me so far... and... i fear i have let it twist me a bit into deviancy. I want to be a pure person again. Thus i won't be coming here for anywhere from 1 to 3 months.
This must seem very sudden and once again i'm sorry. I just can't stand it anymore. Something has to change.

Good luck with becoming whatever you think being pure means.
We'll be waiting for you.

I don't know what problems you are having but........this isn't possible, humans are flawed beings, you will always in some way be a little bit corrupt that is part of what makes you human.
You never were a pure person, nobody ever was and ever has been.

I think I'm gonna leave the forum for a bit, too. I don't know how long though, so don't give hopes up.
I don't really post much here, as it is. I also don't actually watch NGE or anime (I love discussing anime and I love anime related memes, but I have trouble sitting through a whole series), and I'm not that popular anyway. I don't think much will change and besides that, I think I want to explore other forums because I sure don't like a lot of the topics here. Obviously, anyone I still talk to on skype who are on here will still keep in touch, so it's not a big deal.

Are you insane?
Have fun wherever you go, but know that you'll always be welcome here.
For my post-3I fic, go here.
The law doesn't protect people. People protect the law. -- Akane Tsunemori, Psycho-Pass
People's deaths are to be mourned. The ability to save people should be celebrated. Life itself should be exalted. -- Volken Macmani, Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra
I hate myself. But maybe I can learn to love myself. Maybe it's okay for me to be here! That's right! I'm me, nothing more, nothing less! I'm me. I want to be me! I want to be here! And it's okay for me to be here! -- Shinji Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion
Yes, I know. You thought it would be something about Asuka. You're such idiots.

Look, I just got bummed out over something, but I feel like I should go in some detail
So I went to Japan a few years back and discussed it here a couple of times, no one really even gave a shit or noticed. I was there for 3 months and have a lot to tell of it, but it wasn't a good experience for me. It was still an opportunity that I had to live amongst the common people in Japan, and nobody actually cared. Catamari is going to Japan, he announces it, people are extremely excited/interested. I know it sounds like jealousy and the risk of him seeing this comment, I already discussed it with him and he told me it's okay and he understands.
However, that's not what this departure is all about. That would be silly if it was. I just don't get a lot out of people here and there were also some people who were awfully rude to me at some point (like IO, regarding my weight problem) and I have a hard time forgiving people. People won't even care what I have to say unless if it's a troll comment or unpopular opinion. I also just see a bunch of bullshit threads started by the worst people, like how retarded can you fucking be to take waifu culture and otaku drama that seriously?
I'm being so open at this point because I hate holding emotions and I just don't care anymore. That being said, I'm likely gonna come back anyway. I just don't know when

FWIW I didn't notice with either of you, because I'm generally bad at paying attention. If you lived there for three months I absolutely want to hear what you have to say. Having visited myself (albeit only for a couple of weeks), I actually have more interest in what you have to say than him (sorry Cat). So I'm sorry I didn't notice, but at least I was equally clueless for both of you.

Dang it, I should have been paying more attention. Sorry, r!ce; I always wanted this site to seem welcoming to you, but of course I couldn't guarantee that if I wasn't actively participating. My bad. But I've always wanted you around, from the day I first met you. And I do hope you come back someday; We aren't all retarded threads, after all!

Well, I'm glad you shared your feelings with us, and I do hope you come back. But come back when you feel like it, and not a moment sooner. We'll wait (well, the decent folks will, anyway; the assholes can go hang).

As header to this message, I'll borrow words from a former frequenter: I'm not feeling it anymore.
I am not certain of how far back it begins, but for a few months - or more than a year - I have felt an increasing distance of my own interests to those that I find in this forum. For one point of particular interest, it has been almost five years since I revisited Neon Genesis Evangelion, and although I thoroughly enjoyed attending Q in theatres and reading the associated threads at the time of its release and after, I find that there is not much around any more to hold on to.
Admittedly I do believe that there are a lot of good conversations about the original series - and the newer films - in the archive and from recent years, however I do not feel that I have acted on the interest to seek those out to digest and discuss - as if I am distancing myself from the work, and in doing so, from the community at large.
I have had an image in mind of revisiting Neon Genesis Evangelion in the August of this year, however I do not know all that is ahead at this time and I could come to feel that another, other image is more appropriate for my self at that interval. If I do return to the series - or the franchise as a whole, I would think - I am not certain if I'd involve myself in the community again outside of reading through old threads as aforementioned.
It is also worth mentioning that this arrives at a time - or is overdue at a time - that I am involved heavily in an Honours degree, and the habit of coming to these boards is not one that has been beneficial. In other words, in reading these forums as often as I have, as I feel that I have been attending to an interest that is away from my studies, and one that is not really rewarding to those studies.
For the immediate now, I am going to go.
One final note: I stated in the Unofficial EvaGeeks.org Steam Group, both NemZ and now MonkEd are officers of the steam group alongside myself. I don't intend on returning to the forums to revise the group member list, I don't think it is that important as you don't have to be an officer to send an invitation out, and the rest of the managerial duties are not complicated.
