Humanity reemerged some time post-3I from the LCL Sea, considering Shinji, Kensuke and Asuka are all taking their high school entrance exams. Lilith added winter as a season to the post-3I world since Yui always wanted to show Shinji snow in the post-2I world.

The new content is just one of the Japanese Limited Edition bonuses (see this page in-thread here); it's 28 pages of a bonus manga (we don't really know the content yet) plus a 16 page pamphlet alongside the other extras (bookends, CD, etc).

New pages added to the manga story proper could be likely, but simply hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet.

For me, It's implied that the new pages are inherent part of the regular volume. But until 20th november it's unknown. And from a financial point of view....what's the point about printing two volumes?? Way more expensive that just adding the extras to the regular volume

By the way, I've bought the two volums of Petit Eva and the videogame. Even without speaking Japanese, BEST SPIN OFF BY FAR. And a rare case, because the game it's the final ending, the ONA series has no much in common with the manga except for the settling.

Frankly, there are so many interesting things to explore, but I bet it's just some fan service shit.

Maybe if the person is indeed Mari it will deal with the Rebuild Universe? If so, maybe that is where the release date will be revealed for Final? Perhaps the Manga itself will serve as a trailer of sorts, though I don't know if Anno would trust Sadamoto with that job... but since the manga ran longer than the actual series and kept Eva in the spotlight he would? Maybe the manga is one of the repeats? Perhaps it'll deal with Mari's origin too

I doubt it. Manga is a side/alternative story, just Sadamoto's interpretation of NGE. He can add Mari as fanservice, or just use her for a sidestory, the same way Petit Eva did, but that doesn´t mean it's part of the rebuild universe. Sadamanga is an independent story, with a conclusion

without EVAs, Adams Lillith's or all that stuff. of course in that new earth Mari can exist, but that doesn´t mean it's linked with NTE, as with anyother character

NGE is NGE, NTE is NTE and Sadamanga y Sadamanga. Of course, Sadamoto could use that 28 pages to tell us Mari's origins, but that means that the side story is not part of the manga universe. Just a gift before final and that chapter 96 is the ultimte ending.

I hope not, I want a soap opera chapter :lol:

Quite a number of us, I imagine. I have ordered (as I did for the previous volume) both the Japanese LE and the English version. My order for the dubbed 3.33 was placed 2 Dec 2013 and is currently offering a delivery date of 7 Feb 2015 (there is no independent information to support that date).

For 3.33, I heard that was the date for the release in the UK, I personally got mine off amazon, and I believe it said Dec 31, 2014 which is obviously a place holder.

As for the manga, I'll be happy when that comes, likely because I would've pushed it too the back of my mind then suddenly in November it arrives. ^_^

I would imagine the same type of reaction with 3.33 if they do end up releasing it upcoming February.

I also thought she resembled Kaworu. I´m almost certain that they will be somehow related. However, judging by the whole drawing, it seems like Rei will have some sort of importance in the new 28 pages. Wasn´t she dead at the end of the manga?
