Did Gendo do.... stuff with Rei?

I've been thinking about it recently, and would like your opinions about it.
So I'm a 40 something guy with a 14 yearold clone of my wife.
The idea would be tempting.
Do you think?

I don't believe that they ever did it, I believe he wished more for her to "be there" then to do anything to her other then touch her boobies. I assume Reis face would just be ¬___¬ the whole time, I know that face all to well. :(

Considering that Gendo is probably the most fubar person in the whole Eva-verse (which speaks for itself) I wouldn't be surprised all that much. Could have been one of the many milestones on his long, long, long way down the bottomless pit.
He sure is weak enough to sink so low and certainly smart enough to put it all into perspective afterward. Literally f*ed himself up ...

What about the Prof?

Keeping Gendo satisfied in the sack until he could get back with Yui was part of Ritsuko's job. He didn't need Rei for that.

I lean towards this theory. He had other people for that sort of thing. Besides, Gendo seemed to have a certain Fatherly love for Rei and it never came off like they had ever been sexual with each other anyway.
Given Gendo's obsession however, I don't consider it out of the realm of possibility.

I don't think so, but it was probably very tempting as she got older and the resemblance became stronger. If Rei ever actually lived with Gendo her growing up (and filling out) was quite possibly a factor in sending her to the apartment complex.

Gendo reaches inside Rei with the stance of someone that completely owns her. So he either utterly depersonalized Rei, or the possibility is strongly there (or both, considering his treatment of especially Akagi).

On the other hand, he seemed to actually love Yui and he may not have wanted to sully her image in Rei.

Judging from Rei's personality, she would be tailor-made for abuse by Gendo.

Indeed - if Gendo was molesting Rei, her emphasis on not being his doll anymore takes on a sharper focus.

Gendo seems to do anything with a pulse, so Rei would be fair game.... it's ok... technically they are married.... sort of... not really... but kinda... I guess

Ok I did get that vib myself after watching eva.

The fact that Rei is IMHO numb to most things until Shinji comes along and the line about knowing he would abandon her and shed become nothing was what made my mind up.

Do i think Gendo Ikari was sleeping with Rei? No I think he found other ways to keep her world small, and make sure he was at its center.

This being said I'm positive that if it would aid gendos plans he'd sleep with a lepper but I don't think he needed to go that far with Rei, raising her the way he did was enough.

Gendos still parent of the year and I often want to curb stomp the man in the name of great justice.

Fathers love their daughters often as versions of their wives. Considering "Rei" was what they'd have named Shinji if he'd been a girl...

I'm thinking Rei was, at most, a doll to him. You love your doll, sort of. But not in that way. Not in a love-doll sort of way, but in a dress-up sort of way.

Did Gendo have sex with Rei? No way. He had the good doctor for that. Also she was more then just a tool to him. I don’t remember witch episode it was in, but Fuyutsuki makes a comment about Gendo caring too much about Rei. Fuyutsuki knows Gendo better then anyone else in the show so if he thinks this to be true then most likely it is.
