Not sure I like those Anima designs, they make the Evas look more robot like and less organic, and thats what I love about the Evas. Outside of that though they are pretty badass.

That last line is half-guessed, since I couldn't make out half the kanji. Seems to be one of those houses where the bath is heated by a furnace underneath, accessible from outside.

Anima designs are a no, besides the whole concept never really interested me that much but seriouly screw those designs, they look like gundams, EVAs are biomechs leaning way more towards the bio side this just makes them into robots.

Well the basis of ANIMA is Yamashita being left free rein to go wild with his designs, leading to the Evas still being biomechanical but with more and more heavy and sophisticated armors, making them look like Gundamns, every females with big boobs (except Maya and Hikari), four Reis walking around at the same time and loli cat girl Mari.

Also some of the designs are super badass, especially the bad guy's Eva, Armaros:

Just look at some synopsis around the net, it's so batshit insane over the top that it become awesome, as if someone made the Forbidden Union of Evangelion and Gurren Lagan!

And yes, the 4 Rei is true, there's even an explanation for it (only Rei III has a soul, the other three are puppets she controls psychically, at first), and I didn't even mentioned the stripperific EVA-02/Asuka fusion!

Oh, hush you. I think Anima is a nice change of pace that we could use from Eva, like RE-TAKE was character-wise for Shinji and Asuka. We could use some awesome action and adventure plot with these characters. :)

Gurren lagann and eva should never be mixed, EVER, even in evabridged i cringed a little when they referenced it, sorry if i seem like a stick in the mud here but NO.

^ RE-TAKE was a terrible fanfic and you know it, the only reason anyone pretends to like that is because it gives them their shipping fix.
Also does rebuild not already have enough action in it for you?............you are one of those people that went into godzilla and came out asking for more action im willing to bet :/

You take it too seriously, relax! It was made by Ikuto Yamashita, one of the main mecha-designers (he's also behind the new Eva designs in Rebuild as well as NERV and SEELE's new logo in 1.0 and 2.0, we don't know if he did some of the designs in 3.0, although the Wunder looks like his style!)

And no, it's absolutely not canon, or rather it's its own canon: ANIMA is an alternate universe of NGE where Kaji escaped the assassination attempt against him, and made public the whole truth about SEELE, leading to the utter failure of their final assault against NERV (they only had the Harpies and NERV had the time to prepare, leading to a cub-stomp) and the organization being disbanded. And for some reason Lilith decided to deal with Gendo and Ritsuko herself, so they are dead. The story picks up three years later.

So yes, basically it happened what's implied to had happened during the time skip in Rebuild, without the apocalypse thrown in the mix, which led not to the split and creation of WILLE, but to NERV being reorganized as NERV Japan, a part of the JSSDF. (oh the irony, on apr with seeing the same JSSDF dudes that massacred NERV in EoE working for WILLE in 3.0!)

In fact many ideas of ANIMA are also present in Rebuild, since ANIMA partially bases itself on ideas from the proposal: Mari's Eva is a "wolf Eva" that recalls the Beast Mode, Armaros is essentially Mark.06 (it has almost the same helmet, use a FAR as its main weapon and its first appearance is in the Moon!) but with an heavy black armor, there's even the hidden ruins of a place where a failed attempt at Instrumentality happened during prehistory, leaving only countless Eva-sized statues all missing their head, sounds familiar?
Hell, even the deal with the additional Rei clones at first being puppets without personality but developing as time pass and finally reaching individuality is Rei Q's story in a nutshell! (a Rei who desert to the other side is even the one wearing a black plugsuit!)

First of all, Godzilla was fine as it was in my opinion, and I currently don't favor Rebuild AT ALL compared to the original, so please do not make assumptions towards other users when you have no basis for such claims.

Second of all, if there's anything I like about any story, it's having some sense of closure, which in my opinion is what fics like RE-TAKE and many others succeeded in. I liked Eva because I became invested so much in it's characters, especially Asuka and Shinji, that them not having a sense of closure somehow is off-putting for me. So please, don't insult my tastes when I have a different opinion or make radical assumptions based on one or two posts.
