Speaking of Zoisite... Since Crystal made canon (or at leaste made it's own canon) with Senshi being paired with Shitennou, do you think we will see a shift in hentai where they actually be paired with them?

Who am I kidding. Usagi/Mamoru is canon set in concrete and still 99% of hentai have her raped by tentacles instead

Episode 10 of Crystal seems to be mostly criticized for pairing Senshi and Shitennou (hell I've seen few comments irritated that Mamoru had too much screen time). What do you all think?

I actually think Minako X Usagi is a great pairing. Mainly because that bit in the anime where Minako brushed Usagi's hair made me d'awwww my heart out.

My personal tier list (for the anime, what little I've seen of it) is:

Jupiter
Mercury
Venus
Moon
Mars

(I think I need to read more of the manga before I can decide on a tier list for that, but it would be much the same, although maybe with Mars a bit higher.)

Of course I think they're all awesome, but Moon and Mars are at the bottom of the Inner Senshi pile because in Moon's case, her occasional mind-numbing stupidity and tendency to break down in tears over EVERYTHING can get a bit...grating (although just as often it's hilarious) and Mars can be a bit...I dunno, bitchy? Maybe it was how different she was compared to her manga incarnation but...I dunno.

(Obviously, making a Senshi tier list is like making a Lamborgini tier list: even the one at the bottom is a thing of beauty.)

Also, I've been thinking: Planets obviously can be the origin points of Senshi (I'm not sure if they have their own "kingdoms" or if all the Senshi are from the Silver Millenium on the Moon, drawing upon the powers of the planets) and the Moon is...well I don't need to explain that. So could the moons of other planets have Senshi named after them? (Sailor Ganymede, Sailor Titan etc...). I've also heard that stars can have (very powerful) Senshi named after them; Sailor Algol would be a badass idea (Algol is a star usually associated with woe and evil).

That planet power is pretty inconsistent I would say. And as far as I know every celestial body has a guardian.

For example Chibi-Usa in the future will have her own bodyguards composed out of Asteroid Senshi.

Also curious thing that with all the Senshi of solar system, there's none representig the Sun itself.

To me their constant escaping seems rather shoehorned, but if they manage to go anywhere good with this, I'm content.

I would love the idea of a Senshi for every celestial body. You could catch them all like in Pokemon, and you could pick your Waifu from a sheer endless stream of Senshi, to the point, where they become totally interchangeable from one another; only to be defined by one quirk.
(It would be a better treatment, most of the inner Senshi get in Crystal, at least.)

Nah, Tuxedo Mask is techincally "Sailor Earth". I haven't seen Stars but I think Galaxia is the Sun's senshi.

Yeah... Sadly Crystal is so compact we have to define Inner's personalities through the lens left by both manga and previous series. That's a huge problem of Crystal.

But I'm willing to overlook it if everyone gets happy romantic pairing. I'm sucker for those

Also Tuxedo is guardian of Earth (I don't even know why Earth have a male guardian if every other cosmic body have a Sailor representative) not Sun. Sol seems to be a stray dog, therefore I create my own character that will claim it

Having some life breathed (...Uh?) into this thread is glorious.

First things first, this is happening tonight (Jupiter and Venus dub episodes!) for anybody in the States!

If you're not, the Hola! browser extension for Hulu/etc is what Canada friends use. I'm not trying to condone anything bad, I just don't think it's fair for SM to not be available outside U.S. when VIZ promised it would. (Fans in Canada are petitioning to VIZ to get their butt in gear, last I heard.) I think Crystal sort of is international via Crunchyroll, at least?

EDIT: VIZ claims the event on Youtube "will be available in the U.S., Canada, and more!" so we'll see...If it's just the Youtube streaming event, that's not good for fans who want to see the episodes...

Yeah, I just don't understand why in this digital day and age, more services aren't automatically internationally available!

Usagi being similar to Minako is actually intentional: Minako being created first aside (the anime based off the chapter (later 3) Codename: Sailor V manga was originally going to be "Pretty Guardian Sailor V", not Sailor Moon)...

Minako, in the manga and Crystal, serves as Princess Serenity's body double. I guess besides being the original girl Naoko created, that's another reason she's the leader of the Team?

So, personality-wise, which character are you all? I physically look most similar to Michiru, but I'm personality-wise most similar to Usagi...though I strive to be like Minako. (I know Naoko has said she's most similar to Usagi while Michiru's her opposite!)

Stillborn: Haruka and Michiru (90's anime at least) can be cold in their methods, but I don't find them as bad in the manga. At least Setsuna and Hotaru are mostly likeable, just more mysterious?
