You take off in a run after the distraught girl. You've already lost her before you even get to the first interchange, but shocked faces and low whispers provide all the trail you need. Echoes of her footfalls grow louder and then suddenly quieten. You turn the corner to face the Hospitals main entrance. Your blinded by the bright sunlight as you race outside. You spot Mana off in the distance headed for the geofronts lake.

Mana sits by the lake side, arms around her legs, knees pulled to her chest. As you approach you notice she's no longer crying.

"I'm sorry" she says "I Overreacted." she grows quiet for a few second after the apology before she speaks again "Damn it Shinji you were supposed to change everything for the better. I was so happy you were here. Now i don't know what i feel. Finding you in her bed. I knew she liked you, but I guess it doesn't matter now."

Walking over to where she is sitting, you sit down beside her throwing you arm around her shoulders. She leans into you snuggling up against your chest.

"There is no reason to apologize," you say to her. "and you have every right to be upset. I screwed up, and Mari got the short end of it. I know she's hurt bad, but you gotta believe she will be alright. I haven't given up on her, and i wouldn't want you too either. When she starts getting better, she's going to need someone to help her."

"Do you really think she's going to make it?"

"Yeah, I know she will."

"Will what?" the auburn haired girl before you ask snapping your attention away from the ballrooms dance floor.

"You asked if Asuka was going to ask me to dance, and i said i know she will. She always does."

"Why does she always show up to these things? Any other time she wouldn't be caught dead in some frilly dress, but make it a social where your invited, and she can't get there fast enough."

"Don't be jealous Mana?" you find yourself saying as you survey the room. Moving toward you at a brisk pace is an attractive redhead in a red dress. Despite having never seen her before you know this is Asuka.

"I'm not jealous Shinji" Mana says in a huff growing steadily restless as the other girl approaches

"If you say so, just remember your the one i married not her. Look if you don't want her dancing with me just ask her yourself."

Mana walk off nose in the air when you hear another voice

"Daddy Daddy" you look down at 10 year old girl. Yumi your daughter "wheres momma?"

"Your Mother went to talk to an old friend." you hoist the young girl up into your arms "Can you spot her?" you say playfully.

"I see her daddy she dancing with that pretty lady in the red dress."

"Really?"

"uh huh. Daddy, Does Mommy like girls?"

"What?" you turn to look yourself and nearly drop your little girl. Mana And Asuka stand in the middle of the floor lips locked in a passionate embrace.

Your jarred back to reality as your back hits the ground and Mana's unsupported weights comes crashing down onto you. She is fast asleep obviously worn out by the days events.

Your thoughts are occupied by your latest episode and its implications.

1) continue to hold her until she wakes.

2) carry her back to your room.

3) leave her here she should be safe enough

4) grope her a bit, it can't hurt anything

It's been a while, I apologize. It was never my intention to quit writing on this or take a 6 month break, but it seems my ability to procrastinate defies comprehension. It's been over a month now since i decided to pick it back up, and i admit I have kind of forgotten where i was going with things.

That being said, here is the next part, Please read and respond, and thanks for reading.

Mana is nowhere to be seen, though it takes you a few moments to even remember why your out here at all. It seems you have slept through most of the day, It was morning when you came out here and now it is almost dusk. You have a terrible headache and the cut above your eye itches and burns.

You should probably get it looked at now that you have time.

1) Go see Dr Akagi

2) Go back to your dorm and take care of it yourself

3) Maybe you could get one of the girls ( or guys ) to have a look at it
