I knew you guys would be on it, and nice job by Ursus catching the trick question. The second plane is a B5N2, but since there are no Kates left, it's made from a T-6 Texan front end and a Vought BT-13 tail end. The A6M2 in question is an actual Zeke, one of the last, though it has a DC-3 engine in it.

Here's a few more, with some Korean conflict planes thrown in. After I finish editing them I'll make a zip file of the entire set. Can you name them all?

A for-real Zero is a genuine rarity. What's its serial number?

Okay, as for the other photos -

1. I can't make out these three from below...Texan trainers, maybe, but not sure...

2. F7F Tigercat heavy carrierborne fighter, it looks like. Rare cat.

3. Vought F4U Corsair. No mistaking the gull wing.

4. B-25 Mitchell medium bomber - one of the glass nose variants.

5. B-29 Superfortress (or possibly a post-war B-50 variant, the engine nacelles look a bit long...) and an escort P-51 Mustang.

6. MiG-17? The wing fences look a bit weird for a MiG-15...

I'm more familiar with U.S., German, and English planes from WWII since Japanese aircraft are so hard to come by. We have a local museum that has a very nice collection with most being originals I believe and a few replicas... including one aircraft that is the only one of it's kind.

I'll have to dig through my pictures from when I visited it last year and post a few.

All in all some very nice pictures!

Years ago, I wanted that Eva t-shirt badly but they were either too expensive or out of stock anywhere I looked. I do have this one, but I just use it as a night-shirt since it's a warm cotton material, and comically huge (probably 2-3 sizes too big) on me.

I've never had brisket before moving to the South Texas, but I love the stuff now!

Anyway. Since Zap was the cameraman and I just wanted to relax, I took 1 picture at the airshow. I'm pleased with how it came out:

15 years ago I probably could, the only ones I can name now are the Tyranosaurus Rex, the Plesiosaurus, the Brachiosaurus (or is it a Diplodocus?), the Pterodactyls (are they mating?) and the Triceratops. I think the giant jaws are from a Megalodon.

I don't actually plan on trick or treating, since I live in a college apartment. It'd just be weird.

It's a pity. I couldn't find any good Gendou outfit. I can't be Gendou if I'm going to look like shit. It would be a disgrace to His Pimpiness. Goodwill had nothing.

I suppose I could go as Kyouma, from Steins;Gate, to my anime club's murder mystery night (Saturday). Given that I already look like Kyouma, it shouldn't be too hard. I'll have to go home to get my straight razor (I can't sculpt my face into Kyouma with an electric shaver). I already have the lab coat, though.
