Ive been playing some Fallout now that finals are over, and I'm sure some people can already guess where I'm going, but I really want a Liberty Prime Evangelion.
In the rebuild fight against Zeruel, 02 rips through the ATF, 00 throws a missle, and 01 shoots lasers. Liberty Prime does all that in the first 5 minutes of activation, by itself. Plus, extra points for being so megamerican.

I'd replace the vanilla lasers shot from their mouths with "robotic sharks with frikin lasers attached to their heads" from their mouths. Because that's a double threat. Not only do you have the lasers to cope with but you also have the physical mass of a robot shark being fired at MACH 3 at your face to deal with.

Let them grow their hair long. The silhouette of Eva-01 standing in front of the Sea of LCL holding the Lance of Longinus with a long mane flowing from her helmet in NGE2 looked pretty awesome to me.

Back in the day, the EVA designs were shocking. The sleek, rubbery things were completely out of this world compared to other mechas back then.

A detail which I believe has gone lost, over all the translations (between Japanese and US fandom, between series and movies, and the manga, and Rebuild) is the simplicity of the design, underlying the absolute superiority of the organic creature compared to the machines.

Let me explain: a long, long time ago people were commonly reporting that the progressive knife was indeed just a short blade because it was literally impossible to build anything bigger like that. And the armor plates, the entry plug itself simply dwarfed in comparison to the horrible beast they were supposed to dominate. Same about the pallet rifle and other equipment (just... inadequate in comparison to the EVA own uber power), which even more underlined the human achievement of building a positron rifle like that.

Once you start adding cosmetic additions, ejecting spikes in the shoulder fins and all kind of weaponry to the EVA, that effect just gets lost.
