Finished the Total Eclipse series, and thought it was...decent. But it drew me into the VNs and it has been, so far, pretty cool. Extra trolled me hard, and then Unlimited came in, and oh boy, was it a fun ride.

And Alternative has been GREAT so far:

I watched Total Eclipse, thought it was a good idea but ruined by bad execution and too many stupid anime cliches. 5 out of 6 billion people are dead and they decide to have a beach party? What the hell? Also it seems like even when stuck in half of Alaska the Soviet Union doesnt stop beinga superpower, but that isn't such a big issue.

And then I found out that they have a novel series (not yet translated into English AFAIK) called Schwarzesmarken. Set in the 80s, it's pretty much about a badass NVA (East German army) unit that goes behind enemy lines to kill the Laser-class enemies which ultimately let the BETA conquer Eurasia.

Oh yeah and despite the great parts of this series one thing I can never get past is the horrendously silly-looking pilot suits and the balloon-boobs. They honestly looked like they're glued on. ew. At least when they're in normal uniform it isn't as blatant...

It's not the suit that's the problem (although it looks a million times worse than the Plugsuits).

It's her vast tracts of land (if you know what I mean) that are so offputting.

ummmmmmmmmmm yeah I think there are only fan patches for english out there, if you wanted a physical copy it would be in Japanese. VN's never come out in english over here officially due to the pornographic content since most have porn in them. Only VNs like 999, phoenix write and Dangan Ronapa (too bad DR didn't get a release over here)would ever have a chance of being released here officially
