Yes. And they're gorgeous, by the way. You should definitely take a look at them.

I would if someone was kind enough to upload it online somewhere. I love seeing the work go into the movie.

They zoomed into the picture, cropping off the sides, in order to get that aspect ratio. I suspect the same would be done for television, causing the viewer to miss important information that would have been framed in those areas.

Really? ... okay, confession time: to prevent myself from spoiling, I wasn't able to see the trailers, so I couldn't provide full judgement. I assumed (yes, just assumed from NOT seeing or comparing anything) that they would animate it in 1.85 and present in 2.35 ... couldn't be helped that some current films are like this!

There's hardly any difference between two lossless tracks (DTS-HD MA and Dolby True HD) and one LPCM track, the bitrate of Ha's tracks is respectively 2416 kbps for the Dolby track and 2370 kbps for the DTS one, while the bitrate of Q's LPCM track is 4608 kbps. Obviously the LPCM track would have been bigger if it were a 6.1 one (5376 kbps) but it's still only a marginal difference. And let's not forget the licensing fees that they avoided paying in this way.

... didn't think about it that way. ... and yes, I was aware that it did have Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA. So... yeah, no real difference. Just more for the one 5.1 LPCM. ... oh wait, it was 16-bit? Really, no 24-bit, Japan? Couldn't raise up the audio quality a bit more? Especially for this film?! (It's moments that make you think: Why couldn't they record this in 96 or 192kHz?)

1.11 and 2.22 were 16-bit as well, so it's not any different this time. That, and I could probably count the number of BD releases worldwide with 96+ KHz audio using just my hands...

Would that be considered good for Japan? Is it better than 2.22? Sorry I don't really understand all those sales figures lol.

What's the difference between 3.0 and 3.33? Sorry if someone already said, but I'm not going to read 33 pages to find out.

You don't need to read 33 pages to find out, there's a Search function that will tell you: http://forum.evageeks.org/thread/14100/Eva-30-vs-333-Anyone-Know-the-Differences/

Can anyone translate what the Introduction page and the Rebuild pages say in Japanese?! It has been driving me mad cause I have no idea what it says. I've been losing sleep over what they could possibly be saying.
