Well, it's that time of year again - the Girl Scouts are selling cookies again!

Tell me, what is your favorite type? I quite enjoy Tagalongs the most - I cannot resist the brilliant peanut butter/chocolate/cookie combo.

Also, they changed the box art D: I am disappoint.

Also, eating sweets that are probably made to have some kind of addicting effect is a no-no.

For me, it's Thin Mints, forever and always. Tagalongs are okay. There's also those ones with the caramel which I forget the name of...

Thin Mints are probably third on my list. The ones with caramel and coconut, Samoas, are probably second.

I used to love the peanut butter ones. Oh how I loved those, I'd buy loads of them. Unfortunately a few years back I ate too many and got sick off them and now I can barely even look at them.

I'm convinced they spike them with some sort of controlled substance. My mother and I eat so many cookies that we order them by the case. Our orders end up being something like $150. It's worth it, though. I gotta have my thin mint fix. *eye twitches*

I've tried some before, and they are quite delicious. Fortunately for my wallet, I haven't seen any Girl Scouts in my neighborhood either.

When I get my hands on a box of tagalongs, they're gone within two days, only because I can't tolerate sweets enough to finish the whole thing in one go.

Girl Scouts also sometimes camp out at supermarkets. I have (un)fortunate luck because they tend to set up a stand on campus.

They do exist apparently, just like elves and fairies.

Girl Scouts rarely go door to door anymore, mostly due to financial and safety reasons.

Easiest way to find them is at local supermarkets as they usually set up booths. They also will set up at other major stores (Target, Kohls, ect.) from time to time. If you're in college just ask around as I'm sure they have set up a booth somewhere on campus, they know damn well college kids are whores for their cookies.

Or you can just buy them from your little daughter, oh wait that's just me  . (Crate of Samoas for me, a bunch of the other ones for the rest of the family.)

To the person who bakes with them, make sure you buy the original shortbread cookies. They make one of the best cookie crusts you will ever eat, just make sure whatever you are making matches up with the flavor of lemon as they due use lemon flavoring in those cookies. Fruit tarts tend to work best.

I'm almost certain i'm going to regret asking this but... Safety reasons? What could possibly happen to Girl Scouts in door-to-door selling for them to be dissuaded by safety reasons? And i thought they usually went with an adult? Don't get me wrong, i don't think you're lying at all or anything like that, i'm just... Surprised, that's all.

And on topic: Girls scouts don't go selling cookies in Paraguay, mostly because i'm sure Girl scouts don't exist here, or at least not in the same way they do in the U.S. or etc.
