TDSA takes on The Room!

Rumor has it that some romance or drama movie in 03 is said to be so horrible that it compares to the likes Manos: the Hands of Fate, Plan 9 From Outer Space, and some other movies. That is why, come next week, your pal Twin Drive Sigma Aquarion will review

Image

This movie is said to be panned via bad acting, but I can't tell what bad acting even looks like since I'll believe anything in a movie. It's TDSA, the guy that doesn't and has an extremely difficult time looking into things from a figurative standpoint vs. Some movie most people that have seen don't like.

The review is coming this Wednesday, only on Syfy.
SPOILER: Show
Imagine greater.

I would not be shock if he ends up liking it. Who knows since he did said that he did not finish watching "Battlefield Earth" (2000) afterall.

if the unbelievably awful performances do not have you either sighing and face-palming every other minute or ROTFLOL, then the numbing plot, bad editing/production quality and asinine script will

going into this, I remember thinking and stating, "well come on, it cannot be THAT bad, not as bad as Battlefield Earth or Manos or Gigli or Xanadu, etc.", trust me IT IS :stars:

I honestly suggest you watch it with the Rifftrax. It makes the experience so much more tolerable.... and funny.

I'm fairly certain that TDSA reviewing The Room is a sign of the apocalypse, as mentioned by both obscure Maya hieroglyphs, and deleted passages from the Book of Revelations. If the world doesn't collapse into a black hole within the week, I will be looking forward to this.
"Now, from Nature we obtain abundant information about ourselves, and precious little about others. About the woman you clasp in your arms, can you say with certainty that she does not feign pleasure? About the woman you mistreat, are you quite sure that from abuse she does not derive some obscure and lascivious satisfaction? Let us confine ourselves to simple evidence: through thoughtfulness, gentleness, concern for the feelings of others we saddle our own pleasure with restrictions, and make this sacrifice to obtain a doubtful result." -The Divine Marquis

"I agree Hans, but we have talked about those anal fisting analogies." -Werner Herzog

It would have been better to appreciate how "bad"/"good" it is by going to one of those midnight viewing, or so I heard. But guess it is not easy to have a theater showing this movie nearby....
I never thought I would come back to Evangelion after EoE,

Is it just me or does the dude on that The Room poster look like the lead singer of some frumpy new wave band from the 70's?

The Room was interesting... I didn't find it nearly as funny as I should've, though. I mostly just sat there with a grimace throughout. The movie has that outsider "art," "what the fuck am I looking at" feel to it.

TDSA, be prepared for The Room to not deal with anything at all about one particular room as a plot point in the movie.

My prediction is twin drive will just say this movie is ok, he won't really like it most likely because its not his genre. But I think he'll probably say it';s ok. My reason is he said that citizen kane was just ok, and the room is kind of like citizen kane for drunken crazy hobos. I mean it even has wissau doing a badly done reinactment of orsen wells temper tantrum where he wrecks up that room.

This is the movie [Adult Swim] looped New Years 2009, isn't it?

Its Tim & Eric in an expanded form, and anti-humor really doesn't seem to work past the 2 minute mark...

Considered as anti-humor, the work might have more inherent value. To someone. Not to me.
