Just A Suggestion

I just wanted to suggest something:

Why not have a sticky thread in the Discussions subforums that contains succinct summaries on topics that are all-too-frequently asked by newbies to the forum? A quick look at the thread list shows many topics similar to:

-What exactly is an AT Field?
-Adam's Embryo: What Was the Adam Project?
-What Happened During the Impacts (1I, 2I, 3I)

There were others, too.

So, what do you guys think? A general "Read this thread for Frequently Asked Evangelion Questions" thread?

The last time we talked about this there were a few points made:

• A lot of the simpler stuff is what the Wiki is for
  
• There's points where there's no concensus on the issue
  
• If we sticky all those threads where there are no concensus, the entire first few pages would be stickies.
  

Edit: The other thing IIRC, when we put stickies of discussion threads (like the one or 2 there now), they don't get a lot of traffic and just mostly took up space.

Isn't there also a bit of an issue with spoilers as well? I know it is a relatively moot point with the wiki, but not everyone will find these forums through the wiki.

We assume with a series that'll soon be old enough to vote, that spoilers are already out there.

When the first long trailers start appearing for 3.0, we'll go back to requiring new rebuild movie discussion to be spoilered, and we'll keep that going for a year or so after the film's release, just as we did for 2.0 before it.
