An inconsistency in the forum's rules.

Does any one think that some of these fan fictions go way 2 far. I mean the eva is pretty sketchy to begin with but some of these fan fictions are straight up pedaphelia. And as I do recall nothing sexual was to be posted on these forums as part of the terms and conditions....

I feel their needs to be a movement to get Rei to put on some frigging clothes! I know she's all big n' stuff at the end but if she can turn a billion ppl to LCL cant she put on a cloud toga or something -.-

First off, there isn't any actual "child character" in EVA ('cept in flashbacks), they're all at least teens in an atleast moderately advanced stage of sexual developement (body shape, boobs etc)
If anything, it would be ephebophilia/parthenophilia, but they're relatively sexually mature and drawn that way.
None of this applies to teens doing it amongst themselves since they're the same age XD

"Nothing sexual" means "no juicy, graphic pr0n" which I'm not seeing around here.
And the show itself has twisted sort of relationships/ppl being naked or almost naked (plugsuit. etc) Rei, in particular, simply IS naked a lot.
For plot/art reasons.
It's supposed to bring out the primal feeling to it, to explore the "naked truth" about human beings, to create the weird, deep atmosphere it has.
And also, the protagonist is a teenaged boy. The story is told from his PoV. Go figure.
Sexuality is a part of life just like the big, philosophical qestions or eating a sammich. Real ppl occassionally think about it. Realistic characters are great.

As a pround owner of a female body, I can assure you that there's nothing disgusting or immoral about it, except maybe celulitis.

Well all the characters are 14 and thats definitely less then 18 -.- . I don't care 14 is legal in Japan its still weird. Btw Im 17 so this is still close to home 4 me.

First of all, the rule on illicit material is older than the fan fiction sub forum, so it was written without that in mind.

Secondly, there IS a difference between posting scans of hentai doujinshi and torrents of Eva hentai videos versus posting a lemon fanfic. The rule on illicit material is largely pertaining to visual materials. It's also about keeping this place SFW. Pictures of Rei's gaping vagina is NSFW. Talking about Rei's gaping vagina is SFW. It's just not in very good taste. But if discussion of Rei's gaping vagina becomes a problem, we'll have to write another rule (which we don't like doing) saying you can't talk about Rei's gaping vagina. So we'd rather allow people to talk about Rei's gaping vagina, but to do it in moderation. If things get out of hand, we'll deal with it.

Thirdly, I never go into Fan Fiction, so I don't care.

Doesn't matter.
Pedophilia strictly means being attracted to prepubescent individuals.
That means no boobs, no obvious sighns of present hormones etc.
Know your scientific terms.
None of the resident hotties in EVA is drawn in with the proportions of a child, and you won't blame healthy adults/teenagers for having the hots for chicks who are drawn like adults anyway.
Also, don't assume that naked fanart = fapping material.
Just like the original makers, ppl might actually draw 'em naked for epicness/art/vulnerability etc, or simply because they are drawing a scene from the series where the characters are actually naked.
They're all unclothed quite often and the show adresses the issue of sexuality, so it's only natural for the fans to do the same.
It's a part of life.

Oh,quit bitching and get the hell over it. This is why Fanfiction even exists. Obviously this kind of stuff would never happen in the series because of the kind of people that watch it. But when your writing a story,anything can happen because your the author. In short,Author's can do whatever the hell they want and you bitching will never get them to stop. If they want to make someone a pedo then they can. You need to just suck it up and deal with it.
