First snow of the season

Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

First snow of the season

It was short, it only stuck on the plants, but it was special. First snow in B-more for the 2010-11 winter!
So having said this, lets talk about fond snow memories, for very soon we will be despising the fluffy white poison that makes us break our backs to shovel it.

BTW, it just stopped while I was typing this, still we got a nice dusting.

I don't really count those, they were just flurries and they didn't stick.

@supershinjiasukashipper
If you'd asked, you could have had some of ours. In fact there's still some in our front garden from where I cleared the drive a couple of weeks ago, if you want any.

What is this "snow" of which you speak?

I like snow because it reminds of me of ice-cream.

Yes I am, I am snow Hitler, and now me and my army of Arian snowmen shall purge this world of all creatures not made of snow, mwa-ha-ha.

Sorry about that, I just had to go there, it was too tempting.

I guess I will start with a story.

When I was like 7 or 8 (im not really sure how old I was when this happened.), there was a big snow a few days before Christmas. It was so deep I could tunnel in it. (which wasn't saying much since I was a skinny child.) I still remember how fun that was, these days if there were a snow that deep I would break my leg so I had an excuse not to shovel it.

@Tines-san:
I'm good, I will hold off on big amounts of snow this year.

It snows once every other blue moon here in California's central valley.

It is an abstract shape that cannot be drawn or constructed. Oh wait, thats a tesseract, my bad.

@Sachi:
Consider yourself lucky, it almost always snows every winter in baltimore, it is fun when your a kid, but when you have to shovel it it turns you into a angry heap of pained bodily tissues.

@alemann:
Thats a nice thought. It dose make good shaved ice too.

About three weeks into winter (defined by the snow falling and staying there) in my neck of the woods, and the past couple days several inches have fallen. It'll be around until roughly March, so you just have to live with it for the most part (helps when you lived here for 20 years, I actually enjoy winter). Still, that first snowfall is usually quite nice..... just be VERY careful if you're driving in it (not too sure about everyone else, but when snow's around for 4-6 months a year, you don't get days off because of it).

Still, can't imagine what it's like down by the great lakes. Some places got up to 5 feet of snow the past week. Big snow storm went through and got a lot of moisture from the lakes, and the results speak for themselves. Well, at least it's a snow storm and not an ice (or is it freezing rain?) storm.

Sitting here in my ice castle I laugh maliciously at all meek weaklings who just now experience the "first snow" of the year while gloriously crashing cars and shutting down schools because of few millimeters.

Choke on my finnish ice stick, bitches :D

I think Finland is a pretty cool guy. eh snows all the time and doesnt afraid of anything

(Finland isn't the country's real name, so I'm doing it right, right? Right??)

We've only gotten non-stick snow here in Bergen/Passaic County, NJ. Cold enough that I've been avoiding the outdoors as much as possible, though. I'm a major wuss and have to raise my metabolism.

I'm not sure which I hate more, the heat, or the cold. At least with the cold, there's a clearly defined perk: cuddling for warmth. Also, the cat curls up and sleeps with us every night during the winter. It's nice.

It snowed about two weeks ago here in north Germany. It was more than usual so we got two days of school off. When it really snowed hard I had an adventure walking about ten kilometers to get home, which was almost faster than my host siblings who spent an hour on the bus.
