Looking at the article that ANN referenced, I decided to check the Funi site. Excluding seeing the same article that ANN referenced reposted on the Funi forums, I found nothing else.

I hope Funimation has somewhat consistent box designs (artwork was from Kara for Eva-01 1.xx-based stuff) between 1.11 and 2.22. And that DVD 2.22 doesn't have missing extras. (See also: DVD 1.11 versus BD 1.11.)

With Avatar being an exception of course, that movie, just like Rebuild should never bee seen on anything less than 1080p.

Yes, but leaked it from whom/where? They've said nothing about the release apart from this:

* Age Rating - 14+
* Date Available - Mar 29 2011
* 106 Minutes
* Format - Hybrid
* Media - Blu-ray Disc
* Publisher - FUNIMATION

It's my opinion that if Funi were ready to send out release information to distributors they would have sent more information than what is shown on Rightstuf, and/or simultaneously made an official announcement for the release on their site.

And let's not forget that according to this;

According to this ANNCast interview with Lance Heiskell, the Funimation marketing director at Funimation,

... Evangelion 2.22 DUBBING/CASTING information will be revealed in spring! (84:20)

Considering that Funi announced the release for 1.01 three months ahead of its official release date, unless I hear an official announcement soon I'll going to wait another couple of months for some genuine news.

I doubt it's coming out in 4 months. We dont even know who's doing Mari,Kaji or Asuka yet not to mention they usually screen 2.0 before. Plus,where did Rightstuff even get this? It's probably a guess they made because Funimation has yet to say anything on this.Dont get your hopes up on this being true.

Funi said we'll have the list of cast members by Spring. Rightstuf got the release date from Funi, who hasn't officially made an announcement yet. It's called a LEAK.

There was a ANN cast that was discussed here on the forums somewhere(can't seem to find it now) and they had a Funi employe on an he said that the Evangelion 2.22 project was on a "fast track", so it could be possible.

Yeah, I was going to mention that. On the same podcast they mention Evangelion 1.11 was their top selling product. So I'm sure they're ready to get the sucker out.

Eh, I wasn't in the know back then. But did when did 1.0 come out in theaters here? Right before the DVD, or a few months, or...what exactly? Wondering if this means it'll come out on the big screen here.
