wtf man no. You start from the beginning and continue up to season 5 or so. It's after that it starts to get shitty.

Personally I prefer the "monster-of-the-week" episodes, trying to keep up with all the mythos about abductions and alien supersoldiers was a bit much for me.

Um, sorry, I guess? Well I'll watch the first two as soon as I can get them.

It's got some good monster of the week episodes too. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Maybe if you shut up and stop over analyzing everything you just might get it........

Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

I figured since we have one for movies, we might as well have one for TV shows.

Mine are in no particular order:
Family Guy (I don't mind every once in awhile)
American Dad (I don't mind this once in awhile)
Futurama (I love the relationship between Fry and Leela, the series ended too soon. :sniffle: )
American Pickers (Fun to watch when I'm bored)
Storage Wars/spinoffs (The buyers have interesting personalities)
Pawn Stars (Always making me laugh, especially The Old Man and Chumlee  )
American Restoration (Fun to watch when I'm bored)
The Legend of Korra (never liked the first Avatar series, but this one is awesome.)
Rabbids Invasion (These guys are adorable and remind me of Despicable Me's minions  )
Spongebob Squarepants (I think this show will last a long time, but it needs more new episodes)
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (It starts off slow with the first 10 episodes, but gets way better)
The Little Couple (Cute show that makes me smile)
Garfield and Friends (I remember watching this when I came from preschool, I always new I loved Garfield from an early age including photos of me holding a Garfield doll at age 2.)
The Garfield Show (It's ok, but not as good as Garfield and Friends)
Barney and Friends (A childhood series that I loved, but was frightened of two episodes involving the children dressed as robots. The first 3 seasons and the video series that inspired the show were the best in my opinion)
Rugrats (This was awesome, but All Grown Up sucked)
Hey Arnold! (I love it, but I wish Helga would tell Arnold how she feels instead of bullying him and being a tsundere)
Rocko's Modern Life (Cute, but I don't remember it much)
The Angry Beavers (Cute, but I don't remember it much either)
Catdog (This show was funny, I remember doing a project in Elementary school that was inspired from the show)
Sailor Moon (Missed it's TV run, but was exposed to tapes of it from a friend, I love it and highly recommend it, I'm hoping Funimation redubs the original series in English and dubs the new one too)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (Amazing series, I highly recommend this too)
Jim Henson's Dinosaurs (watched this when I was 3 and it was awesome and Baby Sinclair was funny, I'm trying to get this series on DVD currently, but Amazon says my orders for the sets are on backorder despite being ordered in July and currently listed as in stock)
Bump in the Night (A cute claymation show on ABC when I was 3, apparently Shout Factory released a DVD set that is out of print, but I would love to find it and get ahold of it.)
Pinky and the Brain (Cute and fun, but what would happen if one of their plans didn't fail?)
Animaniacs (Cute and funny, need I say more?)

It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia is probably my favorite 'currently airing' show. I really enjoy how quotable and rewatchable just about every episode is. This season (9) and last season (8) are a little weaker than their predecessors, but I still think its hilarious. Seasons 3-6 are ace. Top three episodes would have to be 'The Waitress is Getting Married', 'Mac is a Serial Killer' and 'the Nightman Cometh'.

Loose hierarchy of, I guess, my favorite (non-comedy, non-animated) shows:

God Tier:
- The Sopranos
- The Wire

Good Tier:
- Breaking Bad
- Game of Thrones

Frustratingly Inconsistent Tier:
- The Walking Dead
- The X-Files

I've only seen a few episodes each of Twin Peaks and Carnivale, but I want to see more.

I also have yet to watch Deadwood and Mad Men (they're high on my to-do list).

I just want to pop into this thread again to express my dismay at how few Evageeks seem to have watched The Sopranos, because it is truly the closest thing to Evangelion that has ever existed on Western TV. David Chase even has an almost identical temperament and outlook to Anno.

Don't you mean the 6th season?

But yeah, it seems that The X-Files had no where to go once it concluded its Alien mythology arc. I'm surprised it ended not even half way through said season.

Sorry for the confusion Xard but I was referring to the original ALIEN mythology arc (in connection with the 1998 movie) of the first 6 seasons. Not that super soldiers crap we saw from 8 through 9. I have no idea what the hell was up Season 7, especially "The Passion of Fox Mulder" in the beginning episodes. The 6th season, while mostly of the monster of the day episodes, were a lot better than what saw in the 7th. Well, to be honest, The X-Files began to slag off, for me, during season 8.
