EGF Warhammer 40,000 Topic

Anyone on here play 40k? I've been going at it for a few months now with some friends (I play Tyranids and Chaos Marines). I figured we ought to have a nice discussion topic for it!

One of my freinds is a warhammer maniac, one time he got up in the middle of sex to check his warhammer download, the girl left, but he had no regrets cuz it was a really good download.

I only played it once against the freind I just mentioned, even though he is a master of the game and I never played it before I defeated him, cuz I'm a master strategian like Togame. And no its not cuz he sucks , my other friends cant beat him.

I played Tyrannids years ago... probably 2 or 3 rules editions different by now. Don't really miss it, honestly.

After that I had a blast with the Alchemist of Dirz in Confrontation, which was a much more interesting game before they started messing with the rules again and drastically cut back English language support.

...I just like painting swarmy bug armies, I suppose.

i actually used to be a pretty avid 40k'er... i rocked the Chaos Space Marines and always have... Death to the False Emperor... and well i gotta say i loved 40k but it was just too damn costly... like 40 bucks for a pack of like 5 guys.. and paint, primer and what not... jeez... i might dig out some of my old paint jobs and post em if u would be interested

yeah they made possessed marines a waste of points :/ and while you can win with chaos still there's no more style or character with this codex, and the split with demons hurt as well...

meh i was nvr into demons... im not sure exactly but i know my 2500 pt army was mainly made up of obliterators, possessed, plague marines, the little nurgling demon things(forgot name), and like a dreadnaught... nvr played on large scale tourney but with that make up i came in 3rd at my local comic book store which is actually pretty big on it... obliterators OWNT back then... how are they now

Oblitz are the 2nd best unit in the current codex right behind the daemon prince, dreadnoughts are also terrible sadly, most likely to shoot your dudes and/or do nothing

Nice work Medio, dear. When I still had a group of people and a hobby store I could hang at, I contemplated taking up 40K, but three things stopped me- Money, lack of talent and things I needed to paint (space, privacy, etc.) and now, having no one to play with.

I'd probably use a watered-down purple to add some barely-there veins to those wings. Looks like a very decent bit of painting though!
