RIP Carrie.

I guess it depends on how much Leia actually does in the film. If she gets killed off or confronts Kylo, at the very least she won't have much to do in IX.

^What kind/brand was it?

My sister got me one of the cheap ones that you just slot your phone into, which was pretty near except that I can't wear my glasses under it so I have to experience the wonderful world of VR with my blurry short-sighted vision.

Re: [Film] Prometheus + Sequels

And here we go... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0VW6sg50Pk I think it basically wants to be the 'The Force Awakens' of Aliens, by copy-pasting as much of the first film's story and atmosphere as possible in order to get people interested again. But given how bad the last installments of the seri...

Re: Star Wars

Rogue One even has Darth Vader's first scene take place on Mustafar, as further acknowledgement of the prequels. The Rebels cartoon directly acknowledges that the Death Star was constructed/designed in collaboration with the Geonosians, who were then wiped out (the planet is seen in one epi...

Re: Souls Series (Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne)

Finally beat Ornstein and Smough, although I had to swallow my pride and summon a Sunbro (his username was literally Sunbro) to help me out after it became clear that my squishy sorceror build wouldn't last long alone against MC Hammer and Sir Spearsalot, and Solaire's middling-to-terrible AI hinder...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Just finished Shinsekai Yori. It started slow at first, but after Episode 08 it really picked up and I started marathoning it. By the end, I don't think I've felt that drained by an anime since I saw Texhnolyze.

Re: What are you watching right now? (tv series + see OP!)

I haven't seen it yet but the person who recommended it to me said Outer Limits, not Twilight Zone. Any truth to that? Some parts of it are reminiscent of the Twilight Zone, although it tends to be a bit more grounded in reality and based solely around digital media, whereas TZ explored a wide rang...

Started watching Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. I didn't find the original Douglas Adams novel that interesting, but we'll see if the series is more captivating.

Update on the visa situation: looks like I'll have to shell out 189 GBP just to re-enter the country, and then an additional 54 GBP for a new visa card. Thank fucking Christ for the pay from my part-time job. The only problem is that they might want to see a police report, which I don't have since I...

Re: FML general thread [8]

Came back home for Christmas, thank God. However, I think that I left my student visa card in the UK, and my housemates can't seem to find it in my room thus far. Which might mean that either I dropped it somewhere, or somehow it got stolen out of my wallet at some unspecified point. If my housemate...

Re: Currently playing 4: Guns of the Patriots

Finally got back into Skyrim (the original, not the special edition) after ages of neglect. Finally got past those sodding Werebears, through the cowardly but practical tactic of taking a different path round the mountain such that I don't have to face them at all. Common sense- it's an underapprec...

Re: FML general thread [8]

The really cute, shy, video-gaming playing, athletic guy I wanted to ask out turns out to be straight and has a girlfriend. That was hella awkward. Then I went out, got a bit drunk, got depressed, went home and had nightmares of being torn apart by Giger monsters. Thankfully my black mood cleared up...

Re: Star Wars

Y'know Disney, you've had great success with your Marvel movies and Netflix shows. You've covered quite a few bases in terms of genre, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Action, Spy Thriller etc. You shouldn't be afraid to go a little bit darker, if anything it would add variety to the world and make it feel like it...

Guys, I am so hype that Last of Us 2 is on the way, you have no idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2Wnvvj33Wo Apparently, the developers have stated that if the first game was about the familial love between the two main characters, the second will be about hate. Considering that the writers of...

That's pretty much exactly what I said. Plot-relevant episodes are serious, but filler episodes can't be considered mature by most measures.

^Oh Lord. I have never liked Land's art, and it appears it hasn't changed at all; if anything it's now become flat and bland as well. Expect to see lots of people with unnatural smiles at inappropiate moments. Also, I never thought I'd see Wolverine, Lady Deathstrike and Sabertooth on the same team....

Re: Star Wars

I feel that Rebels is very good at being an intense and mature Star Wars story when it has to be (mostly in the Jedi-relevant episodes) but when it has to fill the void between episodes it stumbles somewhat. The recent Iron Squadron episode seems to be a good example of that, with the addition of po...

Re: What manga are you reading right now?

This summer I was reading Mohiro Kitoh's latest, Futago no Teikoku . However, it hasn't been officially translated, and the scanlator I've been following in order to read it seems to have dropped it after the first volume. If any of you guys know the name of someone who could help me, feel free to ...
