Finished Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa recently and I loved it. Now about 3/4 of the way through Hyperion by Dan Simmons. I have The Scarlet Gang of Asakusa by Yasunari Kawabata on deck.

I recently found a full geneon texhnolyze boxset (not the funimation classics set) in good condition for $20. I was thrilled, and it reminded me how absolutely impressive the visuals were in it. It's not fun to watch, but it is an exceptional series. Everything ABe touches turns to gold ...

It depends. We got Quantum Rei as a bookend in Episode 1 and EoE, and we also got Little Miss Quantum in the beginning of 1.0. I'm assuming that we'll get another appearance from her in Final, but I don't think it's enough to scream "Sequel theory!" at us. There's plen...

Would I be correct in assuming that Quantum Rei is sequel theory as fuck?

Hopefully they wrap up everyone's shit in 4.0 instead of keeping all the focus on Shinji.

EDIT: I assume Poka Rei is the one from 1.11 and 2.22. Would Quantum Rei be the one that transcends time and sends projections of itself all over the place?

@caragnafog dog I remember thinking at some point that Katanagatari was related to Bakemonogatari and Co. just because of the similarity in names.... I thought the same, they are by the same person. Have been prodded by others to watch bake, nise etc. and I'm going to soon. Hope they'...

If someone still holds the view that Shinji is a one dimensional beta crybaby they should never have watched eva in the first place. His issues don't have root in any inherent character flaw.

I appreciate the welcome all.

Sweet son of a diseased soy-chicken farmer and a convention security guard. I've solved it. I watched 3.0 last Saturday, and the monoliths contain the actual members of the Seele. It all makes sense now. They have the symbols because they've been freed from their flesh and are now a higher ...

I'm caragnafog dog. I don't care what you call me as long as you indulge my fanwank and the way I let this ridiculous series affect me. I saw NGE for the first time about a year ago. By the time I finished EOE I was completely devastated and largely confused, but since it was during the summ...
