Hey, that's pretty good! If we had a closer side-view shot, it might be easier to figure out what's what, but that's very clever!

My guesses have been: 1.) He was diagnosed with some kind of terminal illness (In a fanfic I'm working on, I speculate it was spinal cancer) and wanting to live long enough to see 3I, he had the cyborg parts installed to eliminate the condition. OR 2.) An attempt was made on his ...

Nanobot construction workers. A floating gas of flying ants will always work faster and more efficiently than a group of construction workers who demand for lunch and potty breaks. :boingy: Hee, that's pretty much what I was thinking as well. NERV probably has a swarm of nanobots stored somewhe...

Odd request:

A screenshot of Fuyutsuki facepalming/covering his eyes toward the very end of Episode 9 (yep, when Asuka and Shinji are bickering, which prompts him to mutter the line that's in my signature). I'm hoping to make a " *facepalm* " LJ icon from it.

I found the Platinum Holiday Edition at a local CD/DVD shop. Considered buying it for about ten seconds, but changed my mind, partly because of budgeting, mostly because I have no idea which version of the DVDs to lay down cash for. Any suggestions?

Re: Ritsuko and Hikari

As for Fuyutsuki....he's fairly "sane" but he's also got that unrequited crush on Yui. otherwise, they said he's an aloof academic who doesn't normally spend time with other people. Then again, what do expect from a guy who's basically been forced into helping Nerv und...

Maybe consumer technological advance was slightly slowed by 2I, because it seems like the everyday electronics used are at a 2000ish level. That was my thought when I first watched the series. Initially, my mind went, "Huh? Japan in 2015? Shouldn't they have working neural implants to allo...

Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Grigori Continuum

Okay... long-winded post here and it's very much a WIP, so this is basically just a proposal/outline. Looking for a little concrit, bear with me if I mung some detail of canon. I'm borrowing somewhat heavily on Storm Constantine's Grigori trilogy, which I've been reading... BACKSTORY...

That would actually work, given the visual references to 2001: A Space Odyssey throughout the series...

I'm actually tinkering with an odd NGE side-story sort of fic which uses elements from Storm Constantine's Grigori Trilogy. I don't know if it's brilliant or too way off in left field to share with the world, but I'm having fun tinkering with it.

Lovely images! Thanks for sharing.

And believe me, I have similar feelings about humanity: usually after an especially bad day at work (grocery retail, and for some reason, grocery stores bring out the worst in people).

Starting off with a few self-insert issues... I actually have, sitting in that mess-worse-than-Misato's-apartment that I call my brain, an EoE self-insert based on a very strange and disturbing dream I had about a week after seeing EoE for the first time. It's more or less a "what Third...

:: Waves:: Hello there! I'm a fairly new Eva fan -- just rewatched the series for the second time (sans EoTV episodes 25 and 26, though I watched them the first time I watched the whole series).
